57 points... we spent 100m.. to get 57 points.

57 points doesnt get a UEFA Cup place.

Whats criminal is the fact we dont have a decent #9, and spent 35million.

Your sigings make or break you... it did for Kenny at Newcastle. And exactly the same will happen here unless there is a staggering turnaround in the summer (Soldado type signing). No owner will allow a club to go 2 and a half years without CL football, spending a fortune, without acting. Im sure the owners will give Kenny another season (personally i wouldnt, he has shown nothing with his negative tactics, and poor british signings, to deserve one)...and if we are not top 4 next season he will be gone, regardless of our contrasting opinions right now.

It's a good thing the vast majority don't think like you then.

Kenny has developed and moulded a team that is a world away from last season. Whilst his first full season hasn't gon according to plan and his signing haven't all lived upto expectation he doesn't deserve the sack.

I'm more than happy with keeping Kenny as boss and backing his vision. You are a typical plastic knee jerk fan. On here when things are going bad shouting your mouth off but when we have a glimmer of success and improvement you shut up.

Sort your life out.

Who's going to do better in today's premiership and who understands Liverpool?

I'm all for getting it right on the pitch but I don't want Liverpool to become another Chelsea.

They changed their manager last summer and now there's talk he could go. Continuity is the key and in case you hadn't noticed Liverpool have already won a trophy under KK and may yet win another one. That's progress so I'd be careful for what you wish for.

Yes we bossed the game
Yes we missed chances

But fact is, Kenny bottled it some in being afraid to push further still in the 2HF for fear of being caught out by Arsenal, which in the end we were!

I'd rather lose fighting to win the game, than lose in this manner

Am not one of those to slag the players he signed and moan about money spent. But fact is we have consistently been unable to ascend beyond a certain gear. And that is very worrisome.

You are what ur results say you are!

The awful subs (brings on Bellamy as late as the 88th minute)
The awful signings... adam, carroll (i get angry thinking about him), henderson.

We are no further forward than the day Rafa left us in June 2010 (except we have a worse team and are out about 60 million).

We can compare the teams then to now, we can compare the points then to now.. we are down on both.

When u spend 35milllion on a forward with no pedigree, you deserve to get hammered. The fact a player who cost 35m is no more than a fixture on the bench should be enough to send alarm bells ringing among the owners.

We spent a fortune on average british players. As far as im concerned that is sackable.

I have lost it with Kenny today. Doing nothing at 1-1 when we need a goal, and then putting on Bellamy in the 88th minute.. was bordering on lunacy. Say what u like about whiskey nose, but can u imagine him doing nothing for 88 minutes with his team 1-1 at home? It aint happening. He has the bottle to go for it, sacrifices defenders if needs be.

Mourinho would come to us i have no doubt (Ian McGarry has said as much).. there would be no bizarre tactics, no cr@p signings, no sitting back and watching the game pass u by then acting with 2 minutes normal time to go.

Mourinho is one of the most defensive managers in modern day football.

If you're hoping that his appointment would make the difference in terms of games like today I'm afraid you're in for a disappointment.

I just want the FA cup. Wave goodbye to the Prem this year. We got it wrong. I don't think we need wholesale changes. Let some of the kids have a go this year. A signing or two in the summer and we'll be vastly improved.

My advice to Kenny...don't subtract. Just add! (Saying that, i'd not be gutted to see the back of Charlie Adam)

In fairness Kerry did nothing but moan when we won the CC.He is consistent! He consistently does nothing but moan like a two year old.

Kerry also recently stated that we had spent £100m when the reality is that we have a net spend under Kenny of less than £35m which I believe Comolli is largely responsible for. I'm afraid Kerry is a bit of a dope!!!!!
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

You go on and on and on about Carroll, but you seem to constantly overlook the facts of the matter. It's all well and good saying Carroll is sh*t and that we should ahve got this guy, or maybe that guy, but you ignore the fact that they weren't available. We had one day to sign a player. The price we got for Torres was always going to dictate the cost of his replacement. We had one day to sign a new striker and Carroll was available.

Slate Carroll and Kenny all you like, but at least offer some REALISTIC alternative?

who said we HAD to sign a striker?

We had just signed Suarez.

What we (Kenny) did was the worst transfer deal in the history of the sport.

We all love Liverpool but no point in blind faith when clearly some things havent gone well this year.

Every die hard will point to Carling Cup but the barometer for success and failure starts and ends with league position. Always has done and always will do.

We can blank out the negatives and constantly bang a drum for Dalglish to be popular but the reality his he has bought very poorly and this is why we are 10 points behind 4th place which lets not forget was our 'target' this year.

I would stake anything that if Dagger could turn back the clock he would right those wrongs, but all he can do now is make damn sure his next purchases are bang on the money because we (or him) can ill afford any further mistakes.

Mourinho's teams.

Two seasons at Porto most goals by a mile.

Chelsea 2004/05 72 goals - 2nd in the league
Chelsea 2005/06 72 goals - 1st in the league
Chelsea 2006/07 64 goals - 2nd in the league

Inter 2008/09 70 goals - 1st in the league
Inter 2009/10 75 goals - 1st in the league

Real Madrid 2010/11 102 goals - 1st in the league
Real Madrid 2011/12 80 goals - 1st in the league

Liverpool 2011/12 30 goals (in 26 games) - 12th in the league

Yes.. Mourinho's appointment would clearly disappoint me, and wouldn't be any different than today (and all season).

wtf

BS rumour

Fact is (besides the awful finishing) we played excellent today. The effort, movement and workrate was top notch. It was one of our best performances in some time (Carroll wasnt on the field slowing everything up, getting in the way, allowed Suarez to move freely etc etc). Kenny can have no complaints with the players.

The complaint he should have is with the man in the mirror.. who failed to sign a decent finisher, who signed average british players for a fortune, who made an attacking change in the 88th minute.

Kenny has done some good things... the players look happy, the type of football we try to play (on the floor) is good... its his negative substitutions, and most of all poor signings that is his downfall.
