I honestly don't believe he can be ANY worse than Mr. Downing.

He said he cant run down the wings any more. Wants to play a more central position but i think he will get over looked by Gerrard Hendo and Adam

SkySports are doing a special feature on him at 19:30. Reviewing his time in Lille and showing his life in France.

While Rodgers continues to assess his playing resources, Liverpool’s managing director Ian Ayre has called Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan “the best comedian in the north west” for his daily updates during Liverpool’s search for a manager.
Whelan was readily accessible to the media while his manager was being courted by Fenway Sports Group, but his ongoing commentary clearly upset the Liverpool hierarchy, particularly when it was suggested that Roberto Martínez had been offered the job before Rodgers.
“Our aim from the outset was to conduct a proper, thorough, search and do it in the proper manner,” Ayre told the Liverpool Echo. “From our point of view, we did all the right things. We approached the clubs we needed to approach, and conducted ourselves properly at all times.
“It is disappointing, then, that Dave Whelan felt the need to run the kind of sideshow he conducted via Sky Sports News and various other media outlets. To be honest, I always thought John Bishop was the biggest comedian in the north west but Dave Whelan seems to have taken that mantle over the last couple of weeks.”

He was being polite there. I would call Dave Whelan many things, but a comedian isn't one of them.
Bill Shankly: “I was the best manager in Britain because I was never devious or cheated anyone. I’d break my wife’s legs if I played against her, but I’d never cheat her.”

I wouldn't keep him if he is going to be poor again with the wages he is getting. Has to step up his game and work for a place in the side.

I find a certain sense of irony in him eulogising Rodgers for his passing style ,as I watched him numerous times for the reds before he sustained his injury
and his passing was  what could be best described as fucking woeful ,I literally lost count of how many times he would turn into players in a vain
attempt to dribble his way through them ,instead of playing the simple ball .

I might be wrong but I don't believe his maverick style will suit Rodgers ,and this is why Mourinho grew so frustrated with the little fat fucker.

But Joe fits the system!

And hes on massive wages, fat, old and looks like he cant be bothered.

I say if Andy has to leave we try and do a 20m deal with westham for them both.
