£32 for Mascherano, kerrching as the cash register opens and the wonga goes in. If Mascherano goes for £32m then how does that compare with Alonso at £30m?!?

Let's go out, find a better than competent DM and spend, spend, spend. Perhaps Rafa needs to spend any money gained in January on bargains and bolstering the squad, not throw £20m at single players hoping to get it right

I'd take 30-35 million quid for him as well provided we are allowed to spend it on the team and provided we spend it wisely. You could have got Darren Bent for 10, Gareth Barry for 12 and Mathew Upson for 12 which would put our squad on a completely different footing IMHO.

You couldn't have got Barry. You might have got the other two. We would then have required a RB too.

I agree with the commited bit.

The spine of our team is disintergrating by the second and we never got to sort out the wide players while we had a decent core of players here. Carra's knocking on, Alonso gone, Mascharano possibly off. The future isn't looking bright.

I would be and all nan but I don't want a player playing for LFC who isn't all there 100%. As far as a replacement goes I can only guess Rafa will again be limited in his budget so maybe a part swap is the best we can manage. Yaya Toure comes to mind. Toure plus 12Mil would be a good deal imo.
