He's not hurting his transfer valuation is he?  I'd say 30 to 35 mil is reasonable.  but I hope he gives us another season.  Come on MASH!!!!

I don't know what he has to prove to anyone especially Inter.  If he phoned it in - Rafa would still want him knowing his situation.  We might have to face the prospect of no one in the current market being able to meet his valuation/terms - we might have to hold on to him another year by default :eyebrow

well of cause he has. He wants out and knows theres only 2 weeks left before window shuts. Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive.

Mascherano went about his usual  game with the minimum of fuss ...it is this which makes him such an exceptional player because his "USUAL GAME is so obviously  on a completely different stratosphere than anyone else's .... different Class

well it's now up to clubs to offer us what we want for him. If they don't, he'll stay and play.

exactly my point earlier,  he's under contract.  LFC hold the cards in transfer negotiations not the suitors....nor mash himself

I think Masch is worth 30m, and I wouldn't pay 15m for Hleb so I dont think that it meets our valuation.

Besides, we need a striker more than anything in my opinion.

I agree.

We need a striker now, we needed a striker the last season, and the season before. Torres can't play 60 games a season.

can people stop repeating themselves please. We know we need a striker.

Yes but that way we would end up losing him for nothing, by the end of this season if he is still with us his value would have probably halved.
Its a risky game holding on to a player who is despirate to leave, the interested clubs know this and thats why their willing to wait. Plus with us not being in the CL they could easy leave it untill jan knowing he would still be able to play.

its a risk I think we'll have to take. He's got 2 years left on his deal and we have to hold out. In the meantime, he'll help us on the pitch, and who knows, might even help us get some sucess

Surely he can be persuaded to stay. What is it with life in England that is so unpalatable to him or his family? He's been in England for four years already and during that time he's played the best football of his career and been named the captain of his country. His best mate lives a half-hour drive away and he earns incredible money. It can't be that bad.
