I'd actually say the coaching is fine.  The players are getting into the right positions to score goals, and IMO that's pretty much all a coach can do.

If a coach has to tell a player not to hit the post or not to hit it right at the keeper than we are in real trouble.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

Defoe type is what i mentioned in another thread.. but it wont happen in this window precisely because Spurs would not sell to a CL rival.

Darren Bent is what i suggested. We have to buy a forward. We are the most wasteful team in the league. We need a finisher (who will also blend in with our style of play). Go for Bent.. and offer Carroll as part of the deal. Bent would definitely come.. he has already shown hes unsettled at Villa after bemoaning the fact both Downing and Young left.

I can't stand Darren Bent, despite his goalscoring record. He is the footballing equivalent of watching paint dry.

Bent? So you went and found the exact replica of Carrol just without a pony tail and a different color and wanna trade him for....Carrol???

Strange ,at least go for a smaller ,quicker more technical sort of player not the same stuff...

I should point out that the reason i mentioned Bent is he is the best available option in the PL right now (in overall terms he would be way down my list of choices as id be looking towards la liga.. Soldado, Falcao or Llorente).

Name me a better, available, proven, PL goalscorer who we could get in Jan? We have to do something. The status quo (doing nothing) means another season down the toilet.

Maybe the coaches shouldnt assume they dont have to say that?

Making a trade for the sake of a trade is just throwing money away. Defo is a better option then Bent but i doubt spurs will be selling to a potential rival.

I'd like to see some thinking other then the usual suspects ,for the life of me i don't know why we are paying for a scouting system which is so pathetic.

Think out of the box ,for example lets look at Brazil top scorer ,Borges from Fluminese ,let's check him out.

There must be loads of top young players worldwide that would jump at the chance at joing Liverpool so we dont need to recruting rejects from our own shores, and frankly the buy British policy has not been a success to this point. The scouting needs to be better and we must get it right thats all. For too long we have bought poorly and its about time we got a couple of real gems in that produce the goods week in week out. We should also explore the loan route more where we can try out top players before buying.

I would be tempted to try Suarez in the Gerrard/Shelvey role in behind Carroll. This way we get some game time for our record signing in his preferred position leading the line, and Suarez coming on to the ball from deep and running at goal where he does some of his best work. Surely the simple solution is to play your strikers and also commit more men forward because on occasion I still feel we are short of numbers in the box when we break.
