Moureen calling Raffa a cry baby and for him to shut up and sit down when Raffa was complaining about the tackle. What a pr1ck! Small man complex if ever I have seen it.

The tackle was terrible and he has been doing it and getting away with it. He seems like a time bomb willing to go off when the game is not going his way. They talk about how shy and mild mannered he is away from football. My :censored:! He has now appologised since he found out FIFA is looking into it. What hypocrite.

I hope Chelsea get Barca in the next round.

the intended target IMO was Gerrard. he was in line for it until didi intercepted.

I thought that at the time... ???   Kinda makes sense.....Essien was 2nd choice for Moreen, he really wanted Gerrard.  Could that have made the little turd do that tackle?  Hamman is lucky....he knows a tackle like that could have finished his career.

Dave Whelan, Wigan Chairman, broke his leg following a nasty tackle in an FA Cup final in the 60s (if I am not mistaken), and then had to retire early. He sought solace in business and formed the JJB Sports chain. Hence his call for a 10 match ban on Essien.

Whatever the punishment, UEFA should stamp very hard on deliberate and dangerous fouls with malicious intent like this. Weed out these kind of players.

Essien has his UEFFA hearing tomorrow.....hopefully they ban him for 2 games and also give him a hefty fine.

Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien has been given a two-match ban by Uefa for his tackle on Liverpool's Dietmar Hamann in the Champions League.
With Chelsea in the last 16 of the competition - they discover their opponents in Friday's draw - Essien will miss both the home and away legs.

2 matches is preet y light and it shows the board to be quiet lenient, tackles like that should be given a heftier ban so it discourages others form going in to harsh,to be honest i reckon he got of easy and i dont think hes gona stop goin in like the way he did with hamann,

fifa sort it out
