I am not going to jump down his throat about something that he eligibly said. For someone who is trying to make a good impression at his new club I seriously doubt that he would say something so stupid. On the other hand I do not doubt that football journalists would make a meal out of nothing just to :censored: us off

I agree.

I also can understand why a lot of people are getting aggravated, and I also think that's the point of the article.

That article will make a Liverpool fan either indiferent or unhappy. And will make a Everton fan either indiferent or happy.

The point is to say something negative of Liverpool for the sake of it. It's picking an interview in another language, getting it out of it's context, translate it, and place it in a proper manner.

Fúcking journos.

It seems to me that he is voicing his opinions on the future of the club with regards to the obvious problems with the Yanks due to the credit crunch!

Taken out of context by a shi'tty @rsed journo from sky!

for me this a big point
and i think if he has read this and it is incorrect
then publicaly say so
for me this is a really big issue
as liverpool means more to me than money and our history and players who have played for us the same.
take now
Gerrard could be earning a fortune else wear. Rumours a while ago linked him with Chelsea being a money grabber. Burning shirts etc.
is this not the same with a lesser player

yeh he could be   :upside:

andy_g wrote:i've now read the article 3 or 4 times and i still fail to see what is so wrong with it. he states that he's concerned the credit crunch could affect the premiership, not least because its main sponsor has lost a shed load of money. he also states he wishes he'd have known more about the situation before he came to play here. he also states that liverpool was his best financial offer and that he feels good here.

if you feel that the industry you are in is threatened by the economic climate you have every right to express anxiety about it.

where's the friggin' problem??

DAV wrote:so still dont get it jimmy do you
thinking something and saying something are 2 totally different things
surely you see what happens on here , as alot of posts are started by what the press say, not what the player thinks (as we cannot read minds)

"Had I known about certain things before I would have thought twice (about moving to England), I would have asked for more guarantees.

"But I feel good at Liverpool and I chose to move abroad because it was the best financial offer.

this bit i have a problem with, it may be taken out of context by sky but "because it was the best financial offer"
that one comment says alot to me

yeh people who say what they think r HONEST people who dont r MANIPULATIVE

i c ur point

Dossena is a piece of :censored:. Both goals we conceded against Hull was down to him.
Watching the way he jump for the header during the first goal really makes my blood boils.
Please get rid of him in January.

A lot of the blame for one of the goals could easily be laid on carras shoulder - too busy bleatingto the ref then got himself totally disorientated to score an own goal.

if he said this, then basically he is saying all Liverpool FC is to him is a pay day. I'd sooner not know if this is the reason players sign for us.
But if he said it (i dont care if he is pele) i do not want this type of person playing for Liverpool FC

Think your being a bit naive but I admire your sentiment. Most of them are a bunch of greedy gits that couldn't give a flying fk about the shirt. Let's face it gerrard was nearly tempted by Chelsea and was that just to win trophies - I don't think so!

Only joking but ffs be careful - jobs are tough at the moment and bosses will use any excuse to get shut of staff.
