I can't see Rafa going for Anelka when he's already bought Bellamy.  It's all rumour and speculation.

The thought of them two rooming together is quite funny though.

No Riise??  ???

Although I like Warnock, if you play Kewell at LM you have to drop Riise to LB. Riise is dependable and one of the best team players we have. I must admit i was a little dismayed with the Bellamy signing, i thought the striker situatioj would be resolved with a higher profile player. I won't pass complete judgement yet though because the Crouch signing proved all critics wrong last season.

Our signings haven't given much change in the starting 11 except for Bellamy starting now both Cisse & Morientes aren't in the squad. The line up will be exaclty the same if we don't sign a right winger, Gerrard will continue to fill.

Summarising:

With new right sided player

                        Reina

Finnan      Carragher     Hyypia     Riise/Warnock

                Alonso     Sissoko

New Player          Gerrard            Kewell/Riise

                        Crouch

Without new right sided player

                      Reina

Finnan      Carragher     Hyypia     Riise/Warnock

Gerrard     Alonso     Sissoko     Kewell/Riise

              Bellamy     Crouch

I think Bellamy will play regardless of any right sided player issues

Hey everyone this is my 1st post!! But anyway what type of role can you see Agger playin next season because he doesn't seem to be in many peoples minds for the starting 11 and especially now with Paletta on board. £5.6m is alot for a CB

Agger, I think, (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not so sure myself..) is currently out with an injury.

Plus, he's still young anyways. I doubt he will start for many games but the occasional run-out from the start or in the dying minutes of the game will do him alot of good fitness and experience wise.

Rafa would probably start him in the less important games, be it against bottom Premiership teams or teams from the Championship and below or the minor foreign leagues.

Yes 5 million is a lot of money for a centre-back, (then again since when was 5 million a small amount of money) but its an investment for the future.

I think that Agger will definitely play some part next season as we will be playing many games.

I know its only a rumor or just paper talk but I came across this just now.

Liverpool have put together a massive bid for Real Betis wing ace Joaquin. Reds boss Rafa Benitez is willing to offer £12 million plus fringe players Jerzy Dudek, Bolo Zenden and Antonio Barragan for the Spain international, reports AS.

Betis have welcomed the interest, with new president Pepe Leon admitting they’re prepared to sell Joaquin this summer - if the right offer arrives.

Liverpool want to split the cash component in two, with an initial £7 million arriving before a second installment of £5 million being paid in 18 months time

If its tru and they accept then that will be great news. Although I wont hold my breath as im sure Betis value him more than that.

I know that Rafa does not like to be priced out of players but id prefer that we splash out a little more on Joaquin than Alves. Thats just my opinion anyway.  :D

Here are some nice pic.s of some of our new players:

.tv official pictures

They make the new season seem so close, and the World Cup isn't even over yet.

Looking at .tv squad profiles makes me realise how big our squad is.  There are fifty-odd players on our payroll.  I know some have already gone, and Rafa is trying to get rid of some others, but we're going to have to take some low fees I reckon, just to get the payroll down.
