2 bench players for 30 million ? Adam and Henderson will compete with Meireles and Kuyt for starting roles. Atm I dont see either as a step up from what we had. Hopefully the next signing or two help to take us to the next level.

Adam is a good player don't get me wrong, but I also think Meireles is a top player and he did enough last season to maintain a spot in the starting 11.

I sort of agree about Meireles but think Adam will surprise you.
I think he has a better range of passing and will be better at setting a tempo than Raul is.
But i do agree that Meireles did enough to warrant another season.
Nothing wrong with having options though if he stays.
