Arne Slot

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby red till i die!! » Sun May 24, 2026 7:44 pm

He has to go in the summer as its just not good enough with no sign of changing. Bad result after bad result and we just keep setting up the same the following week. Hes drained the joy out of watching us and will turn us into dutch FC if given the chance. He cannot motivate the players on a weekly basis never mind the do or die matches. He has allowed a dirty rot to set in and he is not the man to fix it.
I dont know how the Club think hes the one. He's got nothing out of the players we bought last year and somehow made what we had worse. Giving him more new players will only create more excuses like, Injured players just coming back, New players it was a WC year and so on. Imagine our 1st game of the season is a repeat of that performance today. Thats all it will take and we will have a negative buzz around the place already. The last year has been all his style and its only taking us down. Its just not winning football.

Got to say if I was doing his performance review I'd be saying the result was very disappointing and that any business that turns over £703 million cannot accept such a such a sustained drop off in performance. He's in his final year of contract and he'll be judged accordingly by Christmas with a view to not renewing it. Zero compensation.

Against the top 9 teams, home and away there are 18 games. Liverpool won 3…….

Slot’s stats are worse than Woy Hodgson's which is pretty damning. Yesterday he blamed the season on “injuries” but in fact we are mid table in the “injury league” other clubs above us have had far worse injuries during the season

Just realized something while talking with a friend, now that Salah is gone, our top 3 highest earners are all Dutch. Slot didn't sign any of them obviously, but all 3 of them signed lucrative contracts while under Slot. Virgil deserves it IMO but Gravenberch and freaking Gakpo being up there is ridiculous.

all the Dutch can get out of this club for me. I'd never sign another Dutch player/manager again

  Mate he is going to surround himself with as many as he can if he's given his way. The latest link is with Sommerville who's set to leave westham.  Then Van Der Ven, Bradley has no return date so reckon Dumphries will be an option along with the lad that we tried to sign in january who was on loan at Sunderland.  Only thing that could make that worse if he got that Simons lad off spurs as well   His no 2 from feyonoord is apparently gonna sign as well and that won't be on a 1 year deal so I expect them to give him at least a 2 year extension. I reckon a few early signings to placate the fans base then boom!! Announce a new deal.

Hopefully Gakpo has a decent WC and we can get rid.

In other news apparently Mamadasvili could be going out on loan   rumours are Ali stays and Mamas representatives are looking for a loan deal. Talk of him going to Juve until they sign Ali when his contract expires

The thought of this fella overseeing another pre season is terrifying, that will be another season written off.

I honestly can't believe the owners are willing to go into next season with such a bad atmosphere around our club. If they don't care about our current pefromances and Slot's two years so far look decent for them on paper, at least they should care that fans are getting sick of going at games now. There's too much damage done and considering the lack of support Slot will get from the fans and even from the players, he'd have to be a God tier manager to fix this mess IMO. Even if it has not been entirely his fault Arne just won't be able to fix this team, it's beyond his ability as a manager.

I hope I'm wrong cause obviously he's staying, but I don't think I am.

i want to thank him for winning us number 20 and for the dignity he showed not only in the wake of Diogo's passing but when that loon drove at the crowd after the parade. He was definitely unlucky with injuries but if he's honest with himself he'll admit the job got away from him, poor results can be forgiven, lack of fight can't.
I think he lost me that day he threw the towel in and raised the white flag before kick off against Palace in the League Cup.
All the best for the future Arne and again thank you for number 20.

In the long run, he’ll be remembered for winning the title with Klopp’s team.

Wish him all the best, but it was clearly not working out.

Thanks for number 20 - a phenomenal achievement

More than a tad unfortunate with injuries, the cloud over the club since Jota passed away and some fans vitriol against him..
