2. I'm not saying our team is as good as 87/88, it's not.

BUT, We should enjoy this season, we have been brilliant, it's unlike anything we've experienced in 20 years and only rivalled by 87/88 over the last 40 years.

The league is much stronger this year than 88, there are a lot more good teams. If we can pull it off, it will probably make this team the best ever. The squad is young and if they can stick together can be a force for a few years. Football is football however but what Klopp has put together cannot be disputed.

The title after Newcastle’s result is very much in our hands. However it has to be remembered that we are challenging one of the richest clubs in the world that have the most expensive team ever assembled. I’ll be honest I never expected City to SLIP up against teams like Palace,Leicester,Newcastle and Wolves. We have only dropped points against quality opponents and it’s now going to be more important than ever that we continue that trend. Guardiola looked a bag of nerves last night. He even included an embarrassing Roy Hodgson face rub in his repertoire  A four point lead was fantastic, seven would be incredible.

I think the pressure got us again and am starting to get a bit nervy at our consistently average performances in big games (like last year’s CL final and the UEFA Cup final the year before).

Whether it was the conditions, our injured backline and/or the expectations of the fans to go 7 points clear it all got us in the end. Under “normal” circumstances, we would have easily pushed Leicester aside.

Klopp will need to try and get Alexander-Arnold and Gomez back into the side as quickly as possible, so the confidence in the first XI can build again.

It’s now all about how we respond against West Ham and fingers crossed Arsenal can continue taking points off City.

I think last night was just down to a lot of our players all having an off night on the same night, even the normally reliable Alisson and Virgil weren't their usual selves although in Virgil's case it's somewhat understandable given he's been ill all week.
Robertson's another one, he has been great for us but he gives away a needless free kick in a dangerous position right on the stroke of HT....you're just asking for trouble doing that.
Mo and Bobby were very quiet as well....it's actually easier to list the players that did turn up, there wasn't many of them.

City have 3 difficult games coming up but if they win all three they'll be top before we play Bournemouth. Albeit we'll have 2 games in hand, but still, there is very little separating us.

Not bothered by Tottenham at all. They just don't cut it, never will.

Chelsea and Arsenal maybe tricky but they will butcher Everton on Wednesday. Everton are fekin shyte the amount they have spent and can't seem to progress.

Best thing is that City will play 7 games this month.

The same would possibly apply to United when they play City if they weren’t chasing 4th place. Mind you I bet there is quite a lot of their supporters that would prefer missing out on the CL to stop us winning the title !!

Let’s face it we can’t rely on anybody and we’ve got to win this feckin thing ourselves !! Our mentality should be expect no favours from anyone and let's go and win this thing ourselves.
That's why we need to significantly up our recent performance levels, we haven't put in a convincing performance since we beat Arsenal at Anfield over a month ago.

He's done great Kazza, no doubt about it, but the 87/88 were out of this world, no matter what happened you felt they'd come back and win the match. The 5-0 against Forest was a complete footballing performance. We'll review again at the end of the season!
