Anybody been watching "Black Sails"

Pirates of the Caribbean for adults. The show is from the people that brought us the "Spartacus" tv series .

Worth watching if you like, Pirates, Parrots and Muff .

Just started watching Homeland love it great series even though season 2 has gone a bit complicated with the new characters.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Enjoyed first episode of Black Sails, was expecting a bit of guilty pleasure like Strike Back in Pirates Caribbean but has more of a Game of Thrones Caribbean pirate style to it

Watched it for a while Maypax, have a soft spot for Tom "Magnum" Selleck but kinda lost interest in the show, every case is solved almost immediately and there's far too much time spent around the table as the family have Sunday Lunch !

Do families like that actually exist ? !    :no

Exactly!! It's so unrealistic and there's no link between episodes because the cases are solved so quickly.
If they spent more time developing a plot and have it over 2 or 3 episodes rather than wrap in up in 1, it would be better.
Plus get rid of the Sunday Lunch!  :D

How about The Killing? It's really good, and was originally Danish but AMC did an American version which is good as well. I would say it's better than The Following.
And it's great to have Walking Dead back on the tv :buttrock

Yeah, Walking Dead has resumed with a bang . With the core group now splintered it'll be interesting to see how things develop.

On "cop shows" Maypax, try and catch "True Detective". The first couple of episodes are a bit slow, they are however sustained by top actors and a great script as they lay the foundations for the story.. Come episode four and the action begins to kick in.

We might be looking at a classic   :buttrock
