Thomas, you might be able to provide some answers on this for me:  after a few ales last night I was sitting in my back garden and suddenly I had a very strange thought - budgies used to be really good at mimicking telephone rings, but what do they do now that most people use mobiles with all manner of different ringtones? Are budgies now expected to learn and memorise all the different ones? And is if physically possible for a budgie to do the "crazy frog" tune?

Your thoughts would be most welcome     :)

You got watch out for those little bug'gers and don't lend them any money , they just use it to buy penny bangers which they strap to their waists before flying ito an unsuspecting pet shop.

They live with the grandpas who still use old telephones.
Or they could just be living wild like any other bird and continue with life.

With DNA surgery & manipulation, they could just have hope yet at mimicking the "crazy frog" tune by changing their voicebox.

PS:Now with the invention of Real Tones, parrots are now the No.1 mimicker of telephone rings.
