oh dear Andy lad
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Not his surface and thats his best effort at the french so he improved.

But he will still be disappointed to lose with Nadal out as thats not going to happen on clay very often.

Federer wont win it either, it'll be another clay court specialist that'll go out in straight sets in every other grand slam this year, if he even bothers to turn up for wimbledon. French Open is good to watch but why havn't the governing bodies fecked with the surface to even the playing field, like they've done at Wimbledon so serve and volley is non-existant now ? :(

I reckon Murray has missed a chance here to win a GS. He got pasted in all fairness.

I see that lad winning this thing yet!

Federer through to the semis. He looked like he wasn't interested at times but overall was too good for that Monfils. Kuznetsova was also quite impressive today. Poor girl had a bit of a bad fall though, got shyte all over her back and hair. :D Williams looked out of shape but I reckon that was down to not playing enough.

The guy will win a few slams and will compete with the best for a number of years . He is far from a cart horse .

GYBS,

I couldn't agree more.

Lando,

How can playing a Croat be my opinion   ???

Fair enough mate, if you think he's sh!t then you stick by that, that I don't have a problem with. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I agree with Bav here....
instead of jumping down someones throat with obesenities if they don't agree with you.

What i don't like is you suddenly bringing out all foul mouthed words over a post in which i merely corrected the facts. I do suspect that you may have "had a few".

I think i'll end my input into the debate right here and now..

Revisit your post, remove the sarcasm and condescending gloat and you're about there...

Murray has only beaten Federer because Roger has suffered for form recently. There is absolutely no contest on actual ability.

Federer has always struggled against carthorses who work hard around the court, but when at even 60% of his level he can sweep them away with ease. His range of shots is unbelievable, and only a crisis of confidence and some time spent in the comfort zone have allowed that gimp to beat him.

In all seriousness, there hasn't been a player in the last 10 years to match Federer's technical ability. He's never been the most physically able player, but is pretty much a male version of Martina Hingis - technically superior but not that athletic.

(Is this a coincidence, or something to do with the fact that both are Swiss and have been privy to the same training techniques?)

If he ever regains his confidence (which is an area that has ruined many a top, top player and affects every single person who picks up a racquet), Federer will absolutely tonk Murray and Nadal like they are not there.

In my opinion he has all the talent to be the best player in history - whether or not he will manage it, or whether he will be muscled out by the ogres of the courts, remains to be seen.

Murray? He will never win a Grand Slam - not unless the top players all get food poisoning...   :shifty

Oh, and thank f*ck for Gonzalez - finally realising that he was sh*t at Liverpool, the shame meant he couldn't continue his career in football. He decided to have a crack at tennis, played against some scruffy c*nt with a dodgy haircut and all of a sudden winds up in the Semi-finals of a grand slam.

He still can't cross a f*cking ball, but I now forgive him. :D

Im guessing you dont like Murray then Lando - But lets be real here - no one is saying he is better than Fed , Fed has been the best player there has ever been but Murray has beaten him on a number of occasions so that must mean he has some talent "the best double handed backhand in the game " and thats according to Fed . He has also consistently beaten the other top ten men Nadal Djokovic - the lot as well as winning a fair number of Masters Titles to fully earn the right to be called Number 3 in the world . I think he will win a slam - his best chances are the US and the Aus open due to hard court but to get to the quarters in the French is a good result for him and think he will get to the semis at Wimbledon .
