Do you know what ive just put 2 and 2 together and maybe Sabre can clarify this but isnt Nadal the nephew of the other Nadal who played For Barcelona. Remember him they used to call him the beast of Barcelona , i think he played for Real Mallorca aswell ???

Yep, Nanny he is the nephew of MIGUEL ANGEL NADAL The Beast of Barcelona.

i remember him...he went to 'boro on trial when he was 36...but didn't get a contract.

weren't we once linked with him in the early 90s?

Watched the final while playing bomberman on the ds. We ended up switching them off to watch it. Brilliant final, close all the way. When you look at the standards of Nadal and Federer its hard to see Murray or indeed anyone else getting close to them in the next few years.

I am currently mid argument with me mate who thinks that this final hasnt been that exciting as serve an volley is more exciting.
Correct me if i am wrong...as i am no tennis expert but isnt serve and volley the tactic used by big strong players who have a good serve to win the point easily and quickly ?

I thought baseline tennis would get the crowds more excited, am i wrong ?

That was an unbelievable game. Such high quality tennis from both players.

I would have preferred Federer to win but I'm not overly annoyed.

awesome game of tennis for the final and i'm made up that nadal finally did it. loved his stadium climbing celebrations at the end too. spain is owning everybody at sports at the moment.
