The agent of Fernando Morientes has insisted no deal has been struck with Liverpool despite the striker suggesting a move was imminent.
"It's true that Liverpool want Morientes but there is no agreement with Liverpool," said the 28-year-old's agent Gines Carvajal.
Morientes seems willing to make the switch to Anfield.
He told the Reds website: "I don't want to expand except I am already looking through the English dictionary."
Morientes is struggling to make the first team at Real with Ronaldo, Raul and ex-Liverpool striker Michael Owen above him in the pecking order.
And Carvajal has admitted the Spanish international's future is now in the hands of Madrid, who will need to agree a fee for the player.
"Everything depends on Real Madrid - I haven't seen anything in writing from Liverpool," Carvajal said.
