I'm not bothered about an apology.

It's pointless as far as i'm concerned.
He still wants to go but has been left with no option but to come back and get on with it.
I am happy he is staying from the point of view that he is a key player but would be looking to offload him in the summer abroad.

No futile apology is going to make a difference to me.

Sums it up Ben - any apology is hollow words from him. He will be off as soon as he is given the chance

You would hope so but it's modern football - money talks and contracts end up being meaningless. Still expecting more twists and turns yet.

Agreed, good man management.

I'm less hasty to see this as Suarez' inevitable end with us. Everyone can learn, even Suarez. This type of transfer saga has happened before, to probably most clubs.

I just can't get the vision of some daft kid in the schoolyard out of my head. The kind people missed at playtime because he was great at footie, but had legged it over the fence and had detention for punishment. I see his mates tutting, some laughing, some one probably even grassed him up.

I understand some think he's cooler and more calculating. I just think he's a stupid genius.

I just think he wants to play at the highest level he can mate - I can actually understand him wanting to play in the CL each week because that's where the best players play, I just think the way he has gone about it is all wrong but the question I will always think - what is Suarez was telling the truth about the promises he was given ?

He wouldn't be the first person the management have told porkies too in recent times.

It's possible that different people interpreted clauses and words differently. I don't believe it myself. It's easier to believe this was devised later, perhaps by Suarez, but more likely his agent, as a last throw of the dice, and/or to use as a story should plans go awry.

It's hard to decide who to believe mate - the track record of either isn't exemplary.

I'm really not too bothered if Louis apologises to the fans or not. As long as he scores as many goals and plays a brilliantly as he did last season and doesn't get into any silly scrapes I'll be delighted.

His crazy summer behaviour might just motivate the team and the club to realise exactly what is needed to keep the likes of Luis happy.

May not have apologised and that side if it was simply a story created to appease the public and fans.

Apology is neither here nor there to me really and just get on with the game.

If he does stay past deadline day (you never know) then we have to get top 4 or he will go next year
or maybe January if we are not in the hunt.

Postby red till i die!! » Fri Aug 16, 2013 3:32 pm

ive seen a few pics posted on the net of suarez training this morning and he looked happy so that has to be a good sign. i can only hope that this saga has been put to bed now for this season at least and he will buckle down and be ready for when his ban ends.  he owed the club and teammates an apology so if he has given them that then thats good enough for me to see him welcomed back to the fold.
whatever about wanting to seek a move but what i believe he owes us is performances on the pitch after his stupidity last season in picking up a ban.

Getting players like Willian in before the window and also a CB will massively help matters. Even with Suarez I don't believe we will reach the CL - but add in some more quality and keep him and we would really have a good chance. But we need more players to arrive and soon

The best apology Suarez can give if this IS the end of the saga is to pull on the Liverpool shirt and go back on to that pitch and bang in another 30+ goals this season.
