Loads and loads of irate Arsew1pe fans on TalkSport. Some basically saying, LFC want £50+ for Suarez, just give Liverpool FC the money.  As JH stated, we will not sell to a domestic rival, at any price..............just F**k off Arsewipes.

Would certainly test the owners if a bid of over £50mil did arrive

I hear what you are saying, but I just don't think it's feasible. IMO, if the Owners believe they are domestic rivals for  competitions (EPL title etc), they won't sell. We can't sell one of our best players to a rival.  Additionally, if JH goes back on his word (the statement), he knows the fans could/would turn on them.

For evidence of idiotic finance motivated non football related transfers you only have to look at what Van Persie did last season for United and again on Saturday........

I wouldn't sell Arsenal a bag of stale fkg crisps - fkg bunch of jokers........

It's a lot of money though and money talks - every player will have a price and if the fee creeps towards £55mil it would be very tempting

if you throw champions league money into the dynamic ie with him we might get 4th instead of arsenal, conversely if arsenal get him and we surly miss out on cl and arsenal most likely get cl - that's +/- 30-35 million - that's a net loss on him in those terms.

Yes, it would be very tempting, but I just don't see it happening. The Arsew1pes gave RVP to the Mwancks, and he practically won them the title. Hopefully, The Owners can see that selling to them would be a bad idea, especially If Suarez is one of the main players to help us get into the top 4 (rather then the Arsew1pes).

Gerrard has played mediator between Luis and Rodgers. I read that Suarez is now content to stay despite the lack of CL football. Toure is speaking as if its final too. I'd be really suprised if we sold him to Arsenal for any money. We'd be selling more than Suarez if we were to do that.

I don't think £55m is tempting at all. If Bale is valued at £85m, Suarez is surely worth nearer that than £55m. And selling to rivals is a big no-no. Shouldn't sell to them at any price if we're serious about returning to the top 4.

The Bale price tag is over inflated - everyone knows that. Compare the price tags of Falcao and Cavani for a more realistic price tag and £55mil compared to them with his baggage is a very good price

you guys still harping on about that?   :grinning:
I said it a month ago and I'll say it again:
Arsenal will not bid 55 million, which makes that whole point moot.  :D
But next summer the circus will be back...

i think wenger biggest mistake is to sell rvp to mancs for 30m. yes, rvp is hitting 30 and 30m seems to be a good deal, but u do not sell your best players to your biggest domestic rival. u simply do not do that, no matter how unhappy will your player be.
rvp is a striker that needs one chance to score one goal, someone like owen or old torres.

and i am afraid to sell suarez to arsenal no matter how big the sum is. he will come back and bite us. no pun intended.

I think Arsenal have been fkg about and would not have come up with the money in any event. A bid of £1 over what they thought was a release clause does nothing other than confirm my suspicions. Arsenal will never pay £40m for a player. Their performance in the transfer market this summer has been a complete an utter joke. Arsenal fans have every right to call their manager and owner incompetent. Their opening game of the season provided everybody with the evidence they needed that Arsenal are interested in only making a profit !!

Arsenal are a busted flush because Wenger has minge-itis, i.e he cannot part with money because he is paranoid of being ripped off. It has been a long time coming but now it has bit him on the ar'se (nal)
This is why he chose to offer £40 mill plus a pound, thinking it was funny. The true reason is that he wouldnt make an offer of £45 million because he couldnt bring himself to do it. If he has the money and was really serious he could have made an offer that LFC would have to think about. As it is he has been knocked back by us and Newcastle now because of this debilitating condition.
He is fu'cked and Arsenal fans know it.

But but Benny has been telling all and sundry on this forum over the summer how ambitious Arsenal are, and the intent they have in the transfer market.

Surely the oracle can't be wrong.  ???
