I think it's been a dissapointing campaign so far, our league form has been appalling and like Thommo said Kenny has let himself down with a lot of team selections this season, he still hasn't got a clue of his strongers XI and that tells you something. He chopped, changed and droped players to find a winning formula but with no avail. I believe this is a one off season, I don't think we will do badly the next one and if we but the right players in the summer then eventually we will do so much better. the major part of the problem this season isn't much about tactics, the football has been generally good and we have been so unlucky with so many games, so this problems stem with some of the players we have in the starting XI. Yes, the buck stops with the manager and I agree with that, if we had bought better last summer with the money we had then I can guarantee anyone we wouldn't be in 9th position today.

The reason I want to give Kenny another season because he deserves one, forget his legendary status and forget what he did for the club and city, as fans we should give managers time, even if you doubt him or you question his abilities to take the club forward, he still needs time to prove us all wrong, so that's why I want to give him another season to rectify his mistakes and get it right. If he doesn't, then fair enough, as much as we love him and respect him he should go and Kenny himself would know that he doesn't have what it takes to take the club forward. I don't think he would ever let any fans down, even if he doesn't do so well in his second stint, he is Kenny Dalglish FFS! all this talk about him ruining his reputation is rubbish, he is a class act man with a class act attitude and we as fans will always cherish him and remember him to be one of the greatest players in Liverpool history. I would love it if he turns things around and win us the biggest prize in English football.

Yikes.... 9th place... not good enough for Liverpool Football Club and I'm sure Kenny knows it

I agree with the last comment my worry is that I fear that Kenny was too affected by his experiences at Newcastle and Celtic in terms of underachievement.

I just don't know if he gets it anymore. I think the owners gave him the vote of confidence before the semi-final thinking he'd win the FA Cup.

This could go either way in the next few weeks it has a similar feel to it with the last days of the Houllier era. I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves.

it is strange seeing us in 9th position, apparently it`s our worst position in the league since we finished rock bottom and were relegated in 1954, nearly 60 years ago. thats not good.

Yeah mate into the same competition that in recent seasons everyone in here (including me) has said they hope we can avoid.

Yep, me too. This is nothing more than a hindrance. Yey we got into the Milk Cup of Europe, its hard to get excited about that.

Spurs spent 10 mil "plucking" Bale and players like Jelavic have so far proved nothing over a sustained period and could easily turn out to be another Alfonso Alves or Kezman

Arda Turan has nothing in his career? He's done more in his career than Adam, Downing and Henderson and he cost less than half of what we paid for Downing and already this season he's done more for Atletico Madrid than Downing has done for us. Sorry, there was a reason fans were harping on about Turan for a number of seasons, it's because he's a fantastic winger who performs consistently well for his club and his country. He was by far Galatasaray's best player. Atletico Madrid by paying £9m for him got themselves an absolute bargain.

As for Jelavic, he cost Everton £5m and already he's justified his price tag. 15 appearances since January and 10 goals, that's a fantastic record and for £5m you can't fault that. That's a brilliant piece of business, this club should take note! Also, Jelavic cannot possibly be another Alves or Kezman, he's already done more for Everton than those two players did for their respective clubs. Alves scored 6 goals in 14 appearances in his first season in England and Kezman scored 7 goals in 41 appearances for Chelsea in his one and only season with the club. So already Jelavic looks like a class act and I am sure he'll go on to become an excellent signing for Everton.

However my point Benny was that this club can find gems for good prices, it just has to look! There's no reason why we cannot pluck a Luka Modric from Eastern Europe or a Pap!ss Cisse from Germany etc. If we are going to spend £20-£35m on a player then it needs to be someone who is proven. Carroll (as much as I like him) wasn't and still isn't proven, neither is Henderson and Downing is just average.

We missed the boat last summer when we really could have made a lot of fantastic signings, we made several average ones and we're paying the price for it.
