The league cup carries as much kudos as you want - i have no way insinuate its as important as anything

We started the season where we had a chance to win three trophies - we won one , got to a final of another and was very disappointing in another

Now the season overall has been disappointing but with some silver lining including going to Wembley twice - winning our first trophy in 6 years and losing another final.

I dont give two flying shits if half the countries fans couldnt be bothered to watch it - the only fans that mattered or our own fans and the day at Wembley was fantastic and i loved every minute of it . You try dismissing the trophy as 4th rate to the fans who where there that day . You also try telling that to the players who picked up medals that day

Glad you loved your day out Benni, obviously you, some other fans and even some players are happy to settle for a day out in London

Maybe that's part of the problem.

Except in one of the day's out the team won a major trophy.

Major Trophy ? (don't want to p'iss on you or Benny's cake so ) Of course we did mate, I'm happy for all those that had a great day out.

review the campaign at the end of this season.

If he stays then he has and if not he wont be manager next year simple as that.

Personally I think he will be lucky to hold on now but if he does then fair enough
and we move on and try again next year with Dagger at the helm.

This newspaper seems to think that Dalglish is probably on the way out though the writer as I recall was the same one who reported in November 2007 for a now defunct former tabloid, after Rafa's row with H&G over transfers that he was about to be sacked-

You're the one dismissing it as 4th rate which must mean we are constantly winning trophies to be able to just dismiss one when we win

As opposed to not winning anything for 6 years and actually celebrating winning a trophy.

Ahhhhh OK, obviously some translation is required. Let me keep it as simple as possible so that even you can't misinterpret my thinking.

No Benny , dismissing it as 4th rate doesn't mean we are constantly winning trophies, it simply means I DON'T GIVE A SH'IT ABOUT THIS ONE

Hope that clarifies things for you.

Clarifys things perfectly.

Thank god the club thinks differently and always has done.

I'm guessing you went out shopping the day we played and didn't celebrate when we won

That's just stupid woof. Carling Cup is better than nothing, which is exactly what we've been winning for the past 6 years- nothing.

Anyway, this is worth posting. Sorry if it has already been posted:

It hasnt as we like all other top clubs have played more than our share of reserve teams in the league cup as its considered unimportant. Maybe we take it a bit more serious if/when we reach the semi final but thats about it.

the league cup is regarded as a major trophy, when major honours are added up league cups are included, thats good enough for me.

Why celebrate when you don't give a Sh*t about the trophy ?

Interesting

Mate, if you're happy I'm happy for yer, but in the grander scheme of things it means f'uck all to me. We are no longer at the top table of world football and the consolation of a league cup win whilst we continue week in week out to perform like a mid table club gives me no reason for celebration.
