There is no question King Kenny is a legend. No one will argue that. I loved him when he was a player and I still love him now. But we need to look at this objectively. Are all these players he bought are really Shlt or just being managed poorly, wrong tactics? Most performed consistently before they came to LFC. Would they all simply over achieved previouisy or simply just not the right player for KK's system? If they over achieved, then it would be tough luck on whoever recommended to buy them. But the thing is we do see those players played well in patches which showed they do in fact have some quality. This is a team game unless you have a Maradona or Messi kind of player who can change the game single handedly, players still relies each other to score goals. They need specific instructions from the manager. If a player is not performing as per the instruction, then it is the job of a manager to make sure they get it. If they don't do it consistently, that player must be dropped. You don't just keep throwing them out there if they do not follow the plan and hope they will perform somehow. That's not how managing works. Always should play the best team regardless of any personal agenda or favoritism. Anyway, I just think that given the same team, a manager like Capello, Morinhno or Hiddink (want to put Rafa here but don't want to get in that argument again.) etc would definitely rate higher as a manager than King Kenny. KK is a legend no doubt but he is not a top manager. This is not degrade his achievement but playing and managing are two different skillsets. I'm not trying to create a stir but just hope we can all look at this objectively. Some may claim I'm not a true Liverpool fan as I'm not walking through storm and Shlt with the club like they do. But just want to say it doesn't have to be this way. When you see storm coming in one direction, you can go the other way and find sunshine. Not trying to create any stir here but just want to discuss facts and not feelings here. Sometimes, it might not be a good idea to have a manager who was one of the greatest players in their generation because they do not know how a normal player thinks as he might see everything as a given and can't understand why that player couldn't get in position or do something that he can do so effortlessly when he was a player. It hurts me to say that I want King Kenny to step down but it is for the good of the club and i just don't see any improvement in the team performance. All i saw was KK ran out of idea.

Real supporters know that we are going through a hard time, but to call it a crisis is incorrect. I am disappointed that Aldo used that word, but then hes got a bit of bad blood with Dalglish from the past. We are going through a bad patch, some would say terrible. Fine. It can happen. Im not happy but Im not calling for wholesale changes and Im certainly not calling for the head of the manager.
KK inherited Hodgsons legacy, who had inherited Rafa's. THAT was as near to a crisis as we have seen and if Hodgson would have stayed we probably would have dropped lower and lower down the table.
This season, if we had been getting tw@tted by teams (which we havent) or not created any chances (which we have) then I would probably be feeling like some on here. But we just need the team to click like they have done earlier in the season and we will get back on track. The next three games are perfect for that to happen and if everyone gets behind the team and supports them then we will probably turn this corner and things wont seem so bad.

but mate kenny dalglish is a good manager, he was seconds away from winning 4 titles in 5 years and got us to 3 f.a cup finals (when they were huge occassions) and a league cup final in those 5 years as well, when he won the double in 86 he was only the 3rd manager in a century to do it and he`s the only manager in our history to win all the domestic competitions.
when he won the title with blackburn he was one of only two managers who had managed to win the title with 2 different clubs in the modern era, the other being clough.
dalglish never inherited a great side from joe, souness wasnt there anymore and kenny himself was virtually retired, by the end of his first season ian rush had left too, everton in particular had a great side but kenny put together one of if not the most entertaining sides in the history of english football, certainly tom finney thought so.
there is no magic wand that can turn us around easily, make no mistake dalglish has got a huge job on his hands here because the players throw the towel in mentally as soon as things start to go wrong, they have been doing this for years not just since kenny has taken charge.
look at the reading`s and the portsmouths under rafa and the northamptons and wolves`s under hodgson, think of the likes of torres and gerrard walking around looking totally disinterested, think of the 2 wins away from home in the calender year before dalglish took charge.
that situation wasnt going to be turned around in a season and without some rough spells.
even if you changed managers no matter who comes in has got the same problem as kenny, if the players cant motivate themselves to play for an absolute club legend like dalglish what chance has anyone else got?

that was 20 years ago mate. Look at Kenny's recent record with Newcastle and Celtic. Also, ask yourself, why was Kenny out of the game for over a decade?  It wasn't because he was being offered lots of jobs....

Kenny's replicated our team into the Newcastle side he was in charge of in the late 90s with the same negative set up, spending huge sums on average players and the same poor league form.

Kenny's legend status is not under question...it's his ability to adapt to the modern game and build a top 4 team. He's failed to do that and there's no sign that things are going to change anytime soon.

People keep repeating themselves over and over in these forums....... is it kenny, is it the players, is it tactics, is Fsg.....yawn! None of us are 100% sure, exactly what the reason is but look....

To me, it becomes a crisis when we start breaking new records for the wrong reasons..........
1. worst goal scoring in a season for ten years (36 goals in 31 games).
2. 1st defeat by Wigan ever in premier league.
3. Worst record at home in league since 1953.

i keep hearing these stats after every bad result, im horrified, and that to me is very serious.

Doesnt look good does it. Any of you thinking that means kenny is making progress need your heads testing

Depending on how FSG view his progress, possibly give him 1 more season, to overhaul it, but unless we bring in world beating quality, then expect more battling for europa places outside of the top 4. I fully expect city, utd, spurs to strengthen in summer. If u think we can win league/CL/ get 4th place, on the cheap, then ur havin a laugh

its the least talented squad in my lifetime (and given that prior to that was success between the early 60s to the early 90s means its the least talented squad since the 1950s.. which was of course the last time we have had results as bad as this). This is certainly the lowest we have ever seen the club, every forum is filled with despondency. In 8th position having spent over 100 million. Pepe will be gone in the summer, so in terms of top players that would leave us with two... a 32 year old Gerrard and Suarez.. who will continue to be heavily linked with Champions League clubs. Something drastic has to happen for us to turn this around.

yes lol. Read my other topic on who we should buy in the transfer market to get back to where we once were. ( although laughed and mocked by most).

I made a point on another forum at the start of the season that signing adam, hendo, downing was a big risk and mistake as they had never played for a big club, and were well out if their depth. and I was proved right.
