:nod  heard a rumour about the young saints striker Theo Walcott coming to Liverpool. He is supposed to be top draw.
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.

Liverpool have made a formal offer to Hull City for their 17-year-old winger Paul Anderson.

An initial bid has already been rejected by City chairman Adam Pearson because it didn't meet his valuation. Liverpool though have now returned with a fresh bid on the advice of Rafa's assistant Paco Herrera.

Concerns have allegedly been voiced in the Anfield board room at the amount of money the current managerial team want to spend on unproven reservists but a move has been sanctioned for Anderson.

City have indicated that they want to make on-loan midfielder John Welsh part of an exchange deal for Anderson which shouldn't prevent a deal from happening.

Speaking last month the City chairman said: "He definitely won't be going to Liverpool as we couldn't come to any agreement and we're now hoping he will sign a new deal with us.

"He's been promoted to the first-team squad and we're hoping he can continue progressing to make an impact in the first team."

Liverpool veteran Didi Hamann is believed to be considering his future at Anfield, and could leave the European champions in January in a bid for first team football.

Hamann is one of the Reds' longest-serving players, and was a key figure in the club's shock Champions League triumph last season.

The tough-tackling German was expected to leave in the summer, but changed his mind and signed a new one-year deal.

However, Hamann has featured in just three Premiership games this season, and has fallen behind Xabi Alonso and Momo Sissoko in the midfield pecking order.

Bolton Wanderers looked set to sign Hamann in the summer, and if he decides to quit Anfield, the Reebok Stadium could well be his destination.

He's a right winger mate. But, if this is true, I would be happy. Would provide great cover for Joaquin or simao! :p

Yet again it looks like Chelsea are going to use their Russian riches to beat their rivals to a signing of a player.
Theo Walcott is the widely regarded as a potential world class talent and has been watched by Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Chelsea are set to bid a staggering £ 8 million for Walcott who has only made 4 senior starts for his club Southampton. Mind you he has already scored three goals despite only being a 16 year old.
Walcott has also made his mark at International level scoring 5 goals in 9 appearances for England Under-17's.
Chelsea have a huge financial advantage that is threatening to damage the game in this country, particularly if they start paying outrageous fees for young talents.
