If Arsenal manage to keep Sanchez they will be a lot stronger this coming season.
Lukaku will do well with Mannure, bang in goals and will suit mourinho style of play.

IMO, replacing Sanchez with Lacazette, and Ibrahimovic with Lukaku, represents a step down in quality for both Arsenal and Man Utd. I'm not too worried about either transfer.

In the case of Sanchez for Lacazette, I'd probably agree. Not too sure about Ibrahimovic with Lukaku though. In a direct player to player comparison, of course Ibrahimovic is miles ahead.

However, think Lukaku is probably a better fit in terms of getting more out of the players around him  and although not a better player than Ibrahimovic, think he may prove to be an important cog that will get more out of the team as a whole imo. If he gets to that 20 goal mark again, I think it could prove to be very good business by them.

If Lukaku is valued at £75m then Leipzig can get stuffed with £70m on Keita as can Southampton for Van Dyk.

Dont know what it is with us we seem to rub clubs the wrong way.

I would bid for Matic from Chelsea as a cheaper alternative, great experience and Premiership proven, a winner plus a great mentor to his young international team mate Grujic. We could a lot worse than him.

We used to have a habit of lowballing clubs which seemed to pi[ss] some of them off no end, in fact I can remember one or two actually saying they were insulted by what we offered, don't think we do it anymore but as you say getting deals done is not really our forte. The days of Peter Robinson are long gone I'm afraid.

It appears to be the same old story with us every window and its wearing a bit thin now. They simply do not want to pay attention never mind a decent transfer fee. We can make all the excuses we want about not being he held to ransom for ridiculous fees but 50 to 70 million is now the going rate for top players because of the ridiculous money the premier league teams earn. The van dyjk situation was completely laughable and all our own doing by going behind Southamptons back to drive the price down before coming out and hanging ourselves for doing it. We were already in trouble and have a ban on academy signings over the young lad from stoke and then they try this. It beggars belief how these numpties are still in a job .
Lukaku to manure is a threat and so is lacazette to arsenal. The bitterz have also strengthened and will give us a run for it if the get giroud while we drag our feet moaning about fees we can well afford to pay.
We have more games to contend with next season on top of a weak squad littered with injury prone and hapless players. If we dont pull our finger out we have no chance of doing anything next season except making up the numbers.
Fsg do not deserve to own a club like ours  :no

This quote from Keita on RBLive doesn't look too good - "i do not want to change to a big champions league club. I feel content and currently have no thoughts of a change. The most important thing for me is to focus my powers on the pitch"

If Salah is the only key signing this year we might aswell say bye to the Champions league and also bye to finishing in the top 4. All the teams around us apart from spurs are adding quality and we are low balling clubs until they no longer want to do business with us. It's been another embarrassing window so far... which is frustrating as hell because we have the funds to bring in big names but we can't seem to get them in.

As I understand it we were pinning our hopes on Keita kicking up a fuss and demanding to leave but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. What we can't do is waste the entire summer chasing a player that's obviously not going to come. The club need to make a decision.

who are we low balling exactly? Seems we are willing to put the funds but no one is selling ,however we should have a bigger list of names...

We low ball all the time.. We nearly missed out on Salah because Roma were getting fed up at us not meeting the price they set.
We did the same with Salah 3 years ago and Chelsea stole him.
We did same with Texiera..  Shaktar set a price and we offered £20m below that number and off he went to China.

come on mate I'm talking this year ,We paid over for Salah and it's perfectly ok to negotiate to get the price down..Keita rumors indicates price isn't the issue here so who are you referring to this year?

My only complaint is that we should have had a long list of targets...

His agent is Jorge Mendes who is also an advisor to the the chinese owners at Wolves. No doubt Jorge Mendes earned a decent amount from the whole deal.  Will probably see fair few of his players pass through Wolves

To be fair to FSG because we have raised our sights this window we are trying to sign players that other clubs just don't want to sell. When you are pursuing quality players like Keita and Van Dijk it is difficult to get deals over the line.
As frustrating as it is I'd much rather put up with this than our usual scattergun approach of signing 6 or 7 bench warmers and hoping one of them is going to turn into a star five years down the road.

We are offering way over the odds for both of these players and still failing to get the deals over the line. We obviously know we messed up massively with the VVD deal and that's why that didn't happen..  but Keita was virtually unknown 12 months ago so for £70m we should be getting that deal over the line. I feel if City had these 2 targets, both would be secured and in preseason already training with them.

Edit: VVD has just told Southampton he wants a move here. Let's hope they accept a £50m bid and we can move forward.
