It's not that he can't get into the side, Berahino has had a fallout with WBA's boss as far as I know. The kid is undeniably talented, it's his attitude that I'm concerned about. He's worth nowhere near the reported 25 million though, but for the right price he would be worth the risk IMO.

sorry but I don't believe that is the case. Alan Irvine, WBA boss is hanging by a thread as their manager if he had a player as talented as you believe Berahino is im sure he would start him instead of giving him odd 10-15 minutes

Liverpool and Everton are ready to battle for the signature of Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero in January.

The Argentina international's contract at the Serie A club expires at the end of the season and Sampdoria manager Sinisa Mihajlovic could be tempted to cash in on the 27-year-old before then.

Brendan Rodgers' side have been tracking a new goalkeeper all season to challenge Simon Mignolet - who was recently dropped for Brad Jones - for the No.1 jersey, while the Toffees have been rocked by the news that Tim Howard will be out for six weeks with a calf injury.

The American's absence leaves Roberto Martinez with only one experienced goalkeeper, Joel Robles, to call upon as the Spaniard bids to turn around Everton's poor start to the Premier League campaign.

And now, according to Italian newspaper Il Secolo XIX, both Merseyside clubs are preparing offers for Romero having learnt that Sampdoria are keen to sell.

Liverpool could snap up a bargain in the January sales with an £8m move for Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to reports.

The Reds, along with Tottenham and Inter Milan, have been linked with the Argentine international amid reports he is not to be offered a new contract by the French champions.

PSG boss Laurent Blanc is said to be ready to listen to offers in the coming transfer window, in a bid to receive a reasonable fee for the 29-year-old before his contract expires.

And despite reports last week stating a fee of around £16m would be enough to secure a deal, it appears PSG have drastically lowered their demands, according to the Daily Express.

The newspaper are now reporting Liverpool could bring Lavezzi to the Premier League for as little as £8m, with boss Brendan Rodgers keen to add to his frontline.

Express: £11.5m fee for El Shaarawy

AC MILAN have told Stephan El Shaarawy suitors to fork out £11.5m if they want to sign him in January.

Today's reports in Italy claim the Serie A giants are looking to offload the Italian forward to create funds for a squad makeover.

The news comes as a boost to Premier League sides Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, who can now sign the 22-year-old for as little as £11.5m.

His agent - Manuel El Shaarawy - has previously claimed Milan would only sell his client for a 'sensational' figure, but the club have seemingly changed their stance on his availability.

"I have not been contacted by any club," the representative said.

"Stephan will not leave Milan in January unless there is a sensational offer, the type that no-one can be sure will arrive.

"He is at the centre of the Milan project, and the relationship with the coach and the environment is excellent."

Doubt it'll happen. Besides, we don't need anymore attacking midfielders

Liverpool and Tottenham have been handed a boost in their pursuit of West Brom starlet Saido Berahino - despite the Baggies rubbishing rumours of a £23million move.

The Premier League pair are both keen on the 21-year-old, who has scored eight goals in 22 appearances for the Midlands club so far this season.

Berahino has been linked with a £23million move to Anfield in the January transfer window, as Brendan Rodgers' side look to improve their striking options.

But talkSPORT understands a fee could be vastly reduced, to around £14m, because of the player's insistence to leave the Hawthorns.

It's believed the England Under-21 star is keen on a move to Merseyside, while Tottenham have also expressed an interest in the youngster.

Brendan Rodgers wants the 'new' Sergio Aguero to replace old Liverpool favourite Luis Suarez.

But the Kop boss will have to fork out £12million and fight off interest from Euro giants Real Madrid and Inter Milan to land Villarreal hitman Luciano Vietto.

Vietto has been likened to fellow Argentinian Aguero, who has notched an incredible 94 goals in 141 games for Manchester City since checking in at the Etihad as a £38million capture from Atletico Madrid in July 2011.

Rodgers will not expect that kind of phenomenal return from Vietto if he succeeds in prising him away from the La Liga high fliers.

Nor would he look to the former Argentina under-20 international to emulate the feat of Suarez, who netted 82 times in 133 outings for Liverpool before joining Barcelona five months ago.

But he believes Vietto can be a consistent scorer and grab the goals that can fire the Reds to a top four finish and another crack at the Champions League.

Vietto penned a five-year deal when he joined Villarreal from Argentine team Racing Club in a £4.85million switch last August.

And he has already built a reputation as one of European football's most feared finishers after plundering 12 goals in 23 league and cup games for the Spanish outfit.

Liverpool and Manchester United could be set to embark on a tug-of-war over a cut-price deal for AC Milan's Stephan El Shaarawy, according to reports.

The 22-year-old is believed to be surplus to requirements at the San Siro, as Milan look to raise funds for a squad overhaul.

And according to reports in the Daily Express, the Serie A side could be willing to offer El Shaarawy for just £11.5m in the January transfer window, with Liverpool and Man United both believed to be prospective suitors.

The forward's agent, Manuel El Shaarawy has previously stated he would only leave Milan for a 'sensational' fee, but it appears the club may be willing to listen to offers, with the youngster having only scored one goal in 13 appearances so far this term.

SAIDO BERAHINO could force West Brom to accept a £14m bid from Liverpool or Tottenham in January.

The Baggies took to Twitter yesterday to deny that Berahino was on the verge of a £23m switch to Anfield next month.

Tony Pulis is on the verge of taking over at the Hawthorns and would certainly be hoping to keep the England international around.

But reports today suggest that Berahino is determined to leave the club and may leave West Brom with little choice but to accept a reduced fee.

TalkSPORT claim that a bid of around £14m is likely to be enough to persuade the Baggies to sell given Berahino's insistence that his future lies away from the club.

And in a blow to Spurs, the Burundi-born star is thought to prefer a move to Liverpool.

Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Xherdan Shaqiri by launching a bid for the Bayern Munich star.

The 23-year-old midfielder has become increasingly disillusioned at the Bundesliga giants, and has no shortage of admirers, with Serie A outfits Inter Milan and Juventus also having designs on the player dubbed the 'Alpine Messi'.

Former Switzerland international Kubilay Turkyilmaz recently urged his countryman to resist overtures from Italy and move to the Premier League when he said: "England would suit Shaq more. They are less obsessed with tactics there, but a move to Liverpool right now could not be more unsuitable.

"They are in a crisis and cannot really have any ambitions this year. Joining them from Bayern, who expect to win titles every season, would be a culture shock."

And according to reports surfacing on the continent, Liverpool have submitted a bid for Shaqiri.

Though it is unclear how much has been offered, Bayern would prefer a permanent deal to be struck, with the aforementioned Italian sides only prepared to take him on loan.

Brendan Rodgers previously insisted the January window would be a quiet one for the Reds, but Shaqiri could be just the player Liverpool need to make a push for a top-four finish.

Premier League rivals Liverpool and Arsenal are both interested in bringing £12 million rated Villarreal striker Luciano Vietto to English football in the January transfer window, report the Mail, as both sides look for attacking reinforcements to bring them closer to the top four and Champions League qualification.

Vietto only signed for Villarreal in the summer from Argentine outfit Racing Club, having been turned down by Leicester City, but has scored six goals in his last six games before the winter break, after taking a bit of time to adapt to European football, and is now rated as one of La Liga's most exciting attacking prospects.

Dubbed 'the new Sergio Aguero' on account of his explosive acceleration and neat finishing ability, Liverpool scouts have reportedly identified Vietto as a technically proficient player capable of fitting into a high pressing game, and who is also young enough to have plenty of improvement left.

Having only signed him in the summer window, however, Villarreal are likely to be keen to keep hold of the Argentine for as long as possible and are only going to be interested in selling this month if an overly inflated offer is made, leaving the ball very much in Liverpool and Arsenal's courts.

Liverpool are preparing a bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, 23.

The Reds are believed to be ahead of Juventus and Inter Milan in the race to sign the Swiss star from Bayern.

Sky Italy is claiming that Liverpool have already made a bid for the player.

Shaqiri has only been a bit-part player at the Allianz Arena this season, and is open to a move away from the club.
