If we can get somehow 15 million for kuyt , we will be able to buy a better winger . I think kuyt will be good in the italian league as its slower .

Dirk Kuyt is going nowhere.  He is probably Rafa's idea of the perfect pro due to his work ethic
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

It seems to me that whenever things are quiet on the transfer front for us, the press link LFC players to Juventus.

how much did he cost Bayern Munich i thought they got him for less than £20 mil and i heard a little while ago he had fallen out with them, but i might be wrong.

anyway it was just an idea of someone who i would like to be coming in to the club and if it meant getting rid of both babel and kuyt just to make up 70% of the money needed to get a player like him then i would say do it.

Would fkn take Ribery in a heart beat. We'd have to sell Babel, Kuyt, Benny and Pennant and that still might not be enough to get him.

He's 25, and according to Bayern's general manager, he's worth 140 million pounds, so I think we can lay any hope of signing him to bed  :D

Bayern set Ribery valuation
German giants keen to keep French superstar
Last updated: 20th January 2009

Bayern Munich have slapped a £140million price tag on French playmaker Franck Ribery.

The 25-year-old has found himself at the centre of numerous transfer rumours of late, with AC Milan believed to be among his many admirers.

The Italian giants were reported to be preparing a move for the highly-rated midfielder had Manchester City's pursuit of Kaka proved successful.

That interest appears to have waned with the news that the Brazilian superstar has opted to remain at the San Siro rather than head to Eastlands.

However, Ribery has been the subject of much conjecture in the past and Bayern are keen to make it clear that they have no intention of parting with the former Marseille man.

"If Kaka is meant to be worth 120million (euros), then Franck Ribery is worth 150million," said Bayern's general manager Uli Hoeness.

"We would only perhaps start to consider selling him at a sum like this."

Czech Fury could again postpone his retirement at the end of the season, but the Old Lady will not take any risks and are reportedly tracking Kuyt and Babel.
Pavel Nedved was expected to hang up his boots next June, but his agent Mino Raiola revealed earlier this week that the 36-year-old could still change his mind and further extend his career.

However, the Corso Galileo Ferraris executives are already scouring the transfer market to find the right man who will be able to fill Nedved’s boots for the long-term at the Stadio Olimpico and La Gazzetta dello Sport claims this morning that director of sport Alessio Secco has already drawn up a shortlist.

Liverpool forwards Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel, capable of playing as wingers or strikers, seem to fit the bill. Kuyt is expected to command a fee of at least €12 million, but Juve consider him one of their primary targets.

The other ready-made option for the Bianconeri could be his compatriot Babel, whose price would also well exceed the €10m mark.

I like Kuyt and I think that Babel has been given a bit of a raw deal by Rafa. If we are to get £20m for the pair (one a striker being played out of position and the other very much an LFC bit part player) then that is good business.

BBC are reporting that Juve are interested in Kuyt at £10 million. If he went I think we should try and get Sturridge from City (possibly on a free as his contract is up).
