in the english league... best around : ferdinand.... others who are also better than agger imo.. Alex(chelsea), Carvalho (chelsea), Toure (arsenal)
outside the english league: quitw a few.. Chivu, Mexes, MARQUES, sergio ramos(when played there), puyol, Kaladze...etc
hes excellent when it comes to running at spaces and has a good shot on him but cant really say hes better than any of the above technically or would be more of a danger than any of the above in or around the box with the ball at his feet and with no space for a blast at goal...

Hmmm
Alex is rubbish, Carvalho is OK (when he's fit) and Toure isn't strong enough in the air.
Agger is better than all 3 IMO and is younger which is why we need to sign him up quickly.

haha.. alright fairr enough.. guess that makes agger the best centerback in the world then eh ?!
Better than Cavalho ? give me a break ! Carvalho is better than Terry and to me is up there with Ferdinand, Vidic, Puyol and the likes...
fck that... tell ya what.. theres atleast 10 centerbacks in the english league i'd take before Agger and thats saying something.. he isnt ready yet imo... his awareness and positioning leave alot to be desired.. Hyypia, Carragher, Skrtel... all 3 are better than he is defensively imo..
going forward he has a sweet left foot on him and is brave enough to run through the middle once in a while... besides that he doesnt yet have much going for him...
if we can sell him for decent money and get someone better than him then i wouldnt mind one bit.. he has the potential to turn into something really good i wont argue that but for now hes just another good defender playing for a side with a really good defensive setup.

In part because there seems to be feck all else to talk about. Are we even looking at any players at the moment, let alone close to signing anyone? All I read about in relation to us is Pennant to Milan (which I still cannot get my head around...he must have made quite an impression in Athens).

We could do with cover at right back though. I don't like Carra in that position even though he'll never let anybody down.
