FOOTBALL 2008 Wigan Athletic striker Emile Heskey - 0

The England forward will arrive at Anfield as a free agent in the summer for what TT can only assume will be a large chunk of change. After all, what self-respecting striker would sign for a manager who hates playing strikers?

The move would represent Heskey's second spell at Liverpool and Rafa Benitez is surely hoping he can improve on his tally of 38 goals from 150 league starts the first time around

HESKEY! Am losing the fkin plot here, he cant shoot without falling over ffs and he doesnt score goals. So we've got Heskey up on his own to look forward to next season, great.
Im starting to lose the plot with some of Rafas decisions I need a win against the bitters to restore some belief in our challenge.
But fkin Heskey?
Dont judge a book by the cover, unless you cover just another, because blind exceptance is a sign,
Of stupid fools who stand in line......  Like..

I would love Renato or someone of his caliber for our right side.  We are :censored: in that area.

exactly. fluent on the right. I think rafa loves dirk too much so he wants to keep him there

i think you would find that rafa would love a right winger and kuyt would be moved up front with torres, which at the end of the day if it means a proper winger on the right i would take it at least then he could switch between the 3 strikers and if keane was to start hitting the back of the net he WOULD HAVE to leave kuyt out as there would be no place for him on the pitch

but with no money to get a winger good enough we are all just spouting hot air

True - just makes you wonder though, we really should have done something else with the £7 million that bought Dossena.

I know it's hindsight and the left back was (and to some still is) a problem position.

With Keane's £20 million, that's £27 mill that at the moment we can't really say has been spent wisely.

you are right in that it seems to be a waste of 27 mil but i think only 7 of that will continue to be a waste, as i think keane will come good once him and rafa sort themselves out ( god knows what the problem is) but lets hope it sorted soon

as for Dossena i just can't see him cutting it in the prem or more so not for a big club like us maybe a smaller club like everton  :nod  trouble is i don't see us getting anywhere near that amount back for him so it will be another loss in money

You would have thought or hoped an Italian club would fancy him, as he is in their National Squad.

Probably pointless for me to say that as Rafa as I understand already said he is keeping him but.......we live in hope!

Italy still rate him highly so IF we did sell we'd recoup almost all the cash, but Rafa sees something in him so he's going nowhere at the moment.

Paper Talk According to reports in France Football, Liverpool are ready to offload back-up goalkeeper Charles Itandje for a fee of around £1million. The report claims Rangers, Celtic, Anderlecht and Rubin Kazan are all keen on Itandje.
