Aston Villa are after the Real Sociedad keeper Riesgo. I think the keeper is good enough for the premiership. Very good on reflexes, very good on one ones, average with feet, he could be a spanish international one day if he knows to be more bástard when aerial balls (showing the knee and that kind of things to intimidate).

I don't know the exact offer, but I know there's an offer.

cannot reina also be a verb that means "reigns"  As in Reina reina over the penalty area.

Yep Joe it could be "he reigns", but Surnames in Spanish tend to be nouns rather than verbs.

Hammers sign £5m Behrami

In this transfer window, two Swiss right backs have been brought to the prem, and we got the 2nd best one :(

He's a "utility player". He can play both and, I think, in central midfield also.

Man City land Belgium international defender Kompany from Hamburg

Hamburg have accepted a bid from Manchester City for Belgium defender Vincent Kompany, according to the German club.

Details of the agreement regarding a possible move for the 22-year-old Belgium international were not disclosed in a statement posted on Hamburg's official website, www.hsv.de.

But Kompany's future at Hamburg has been called into question in recent days after he fell out with club bosses over his continued involvement for Belgium at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Hamburg had ordered Kompany to return from the Games in time for their first Bundesliga game of the season last Friday despite the Red Devils' run to the final four in Beijing.

His appearance in the season-opening fixture against Bayern Munich now appears set to be 39th and last for the club since joining from Anderlecht in 2006.

"We wish Vincent all the best for his future," said Hamburg's director of football Dietmar Beiersdorfer.

---

I think Manchester City have bought one of the most promising CB's of the world. I'm biased of course, since I'm Belgian, but I honestly think he will be a big success in the PL. He is the only Belgian I wanted to see at Liverpool...  :(
