get in there, I bet skittles will be a bit careful with the hardness of his challenges from now on. He might not be as aggresive anymore ...

Hyypia should have made that squad ahead of atleast 2 or 3 players ???

Fair point ace', I remember some laughters when I pointed it out and was told something about the marathon of games the CL group league are.

hehe.. yea i remember arguing with some numpty about whether 6 games is alot or not  :D

in all seriousness though.. if agger or carragher pick up any knocks we would look very shakey in the back ... an arbeloa-agger partnership would be an absolute nightmare !

Arguing with yourself were you...................?  :D

It's not just six games, it is six games over a long-ish period of time. We should be ok, but another injury to a CB and we're in trouble.

Maybe Martin isnt as happy as some people would think.

From The Mail Online

Liverpool face losing Martin Skrtel after the Slovakian admitted he is struggling to adjust to life on Merseyside.

The 24-year-old defender is lonely and bored and would like to return to St Petersburg, according to his close friend, Zenit goalkeeper Kamil Contofalsky.

Contofalsky told Russia's 90 Minutes Magazines: 'I talk a lot to Martin on the phone and he said he would like to return to Zenit because it's very boring for him in England.

'He feels lonely there, doesn't have any friends. And also the local paparazzi follow him all the time.

'There's no such camera madness in Russia and Martin confessed to me that life in St Petersburg was better for him.

'But that doesn't mean he regrets his move to Liverpool. He made it into the main squad quickly and played top class football which is much better than in the Russian premiership.'

The BS is starting to come thick and fast.
Next it`ll be Carra is sick of life in Liverpool and so is moving to manchester to be closer to his best mate Gary.

Once again the gutter press are trying to create some atmosphere for the january transfer window.

Babel, Benni and now Skrtel... working over time arent they?

 If he's lonely we should send Ciggy and Nanny round to keep him company. (Maybe Judge too, if he's funny that way! )

Imagine having to ask Skrtel if he was gay :D

I personally think the above story is yet another load of bollox coming from the press. What will be interesting though, is when Skrtel returns around christmas time. Will he walk straight back into the team, or will he be forced to wait for his chance? Another way to ask would be: has Agger done enough so far to retain the spot next to Carra once Skrtel is ready again?

Well I think a Carra/Agger partnership is the best we have at the club. Maybe not as dominant in the air as a Carra/Hyypia of a few years back, but the control in defence and the ball playing ability aswell as there pace is excellent in this partnership. Where does this leave Skrtel when he gets back? Well Carra is not getting any younger so patience and hard work is what I wanna see from Martin from here on in at Liverpool!

Reports suggesting Skrtel might be back sooner than expected. I'd welcome him back as he is a very good defender. Having him back would allow us to rest JC now and again.
