If an offer came in of £30 Million for Gerrard then I would honestly sell.

He is one of the best players ever in a liverpool shirt and he is still a great player but at the age of thirty he is losing his legs. He could have another two or three great seasons in him and thats it.

For £30 Million we could buy a young world class player that has 10+ great seasons in him.

Gerrard is a more complete player than Aquilani that goes without question. You would never see Aquilani playing right back, flying into challenges.

But to compare them both as attacking midfielders I think it is reasonable. From the very little we have seen of Aquilani so far it has all been very impressive. There is no reason to suggest that as an attacking midfielder, Aquilani cant do the things Gerrard can do. Not yet at least

Dont get me wrong, I love the guy

He made me love Liverpool, he's the reason i love soccer

But he's gotten old

He ain't it he game as much as he used to be

He doesnt show how good his magical right foot is anymore

im sorry, but every legend has an end and i think Gerrard is reaching his

Let's not go overboard . While he has had a poor season , any talk of selling him is pretty drastic and also stupid

crock of sh|t
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Gerrard IS Liverpool FC. We need more English players that know when you play, you must give 200%. We need two 20mil English attacking players.

We should sack Benitez so that when we sign MON ( :D ) he can bring Ash Young etc with him. Lennon is out there and Calton Cole.

Changed my mind about Gerrard. In an ideal World we would sell Gezza and then buy Young with the money. Then Move Kuyt down the middle and play Babel on the LW regularly. Janovic or w/e will come in and do solidly and then maybe we could buy Kevin Doyle to step i now and again. Gerrard i love you but for the future of the club i think we need a new English talisman.

Going off topic:
Overall i would like to see us sign...

Upson - £12m ...The guy is the next best thing
Young - £30m ... Hello supply to Torres
Doyle - 7m     ... Can fill in for Torres and score goals
C Cole- £15m  ... Can push Torres for 1st team/play with him
Huddlestone - 6m ...Could be a up 'n' coming gem

Total: £70m

Sell..

Reira - £6m
Funds from Januray 2010 deals £5-7m
Gerrard - £30m
Aurelio - £5m
Lucas - £7.5m
£25m from club transfer funds and maybe £5-10m more

Total: £78 - 80m

Life expectency must be really short where you come from.

F*ckin hell, the fella is only just turning 30 and that's old and cause for losing his legs? Complete bollox. A man, especially in the modern game, can be just as fit, fast, and as agile well into his 30's as he was when he was a teenager and that's a fact.

Gerrard is staying for 2 or 3 seasons
