We sealed our fate by giving Rafa that contract for five years and the owners having no money. The owners are :censored: and they have to go. We all agree there but that doesnt deflect anything from the underlying fact that Rafa is not a good thing for this club

As painful as it is for me to admit I agree

Sad times!!

its massively depressing

if any and i mean any member of this forum says that Rafa should not get the sack after this game then they must be F,ucking him.

we looked a joke in the first half, could not shoot in the 2nd half and fell apart in extime.

Anybody see rafa's interview? Guess what the excuse was..... the ref and" lots of things he didn't like". Is this guy real? If he had any respect for the club he should hang his head in shame and leave with a bit of dignity. If not sack him, big  danger if he stays is where will we finish up and what players we might lose. |Scary

Sack Rafa!!!

Yeah.

Sacking him will fix everything.

It will give us a new stadium and money to sign players.

All of you morons are so afraid to handle the real problem. The real problem is that it is over. No more can Liverpool compete with 20 % of Manchester's revenues. It is over.

Blame the players, blame Rafa,

But be afraid of the REAL problem

Thank god you don't post often . The team performs poorly for a game or two we can blame the players but its been like that the whole :censored: season , who signs a injured midfielder for 20 million , we could have used another top class striker but instead he goes out and panic buys , i'm not writing aqualini off yet but the fact of the matter remains that he has missed 3 months of the first season , 3 months where the money could have been better utilized. Don't blame the owners for everything , rafa has had his money to spent and instead of using it well he has signed players like Lucas , Pennant , Josemi , Gonzales , dossena , theres another 25 million down the drain where we could have used to get a simao or a silva , worldclass players instead of drivel

I know it is painful to accept the truth and that it is more comfortable to think that there is an easy solution to everything.

I know that it is hard to accept that Liverpool's first team budget equals Man United's youth team budget.

I know you don't want to accept that Liverpool bought Glen Johnson on money owed for Peter Crouch. I know that it is hard to accept that Benitez never was given a fair chance to replace Alonso so he had to take a gamble on an injured player. I know it is hard to accept that Gerrard and Carra are aging and that their best years are behind them. I know it is hard to accept that most of the players in the squad is a collection of bargain basement additions. I know it is a new transfer window with no money available for signings (just a 30 year old on free transfer). I know it is hard to accept that the only 3 world class players will be gone next year (mascherano, Reina and Torres). I know it is hard to accept that Liverpool will be facing relegation in a few years.

But go ahead, keep dreaming, sacking the manager will give us the stadium and the players.

Well mate i know its hard for you to accept that united have spent money on only valencia this year , 16 million and still they are in a better position than us . Stevie's best years behind him? He's been :censored: like the rest of the team , its the managers job to motivate the players and he can't seem to do that.

I think its HARD for you to accept that benitez has flaws and is living on borrowed time ala the champions league win , we've given him ample time without the sufficient results , i'll give him till the end of the season if we don't secure a top 4 finish , he should walk if he has any dignity at all.

mmmm ... £18,941,667 per season to be EXACT... compared to £3,766,667 for MANUTD and -£1,373,000 for ARSENAL ...

And we also spent more on purchases AND in terms of net transfers than both clubs...

Your point ?!

for the record Ace, I dont give a :censored: about any other team, just LFC

and I dont like Rafa so dont get aggressive, I'm just trying to see both sides and balance things a bit rather than sling mud around

I think its fair to say, we are showing relegation form.

agree with andy townswnd, although theres a lot going on higher up the club, on pitch performances need to be sorted now, urgently and in my eyes noone looks like they give a :censored:, gerrard and torres look depressed, complete shambles.

some of what banana says is true however you cant defend signings made which have cost us, and unfortunatly there have been too many of them.

WAs a fcking joke that interview ! Asked if the players were underperforming he said " we worked hard and they worked hard " "we had our chances and they had their chances" !

WTF ?!

Only positive i took from that interview is that he seemed to suggest that money was available for more signing if needed ! WELL WE FCKING NEED THEM BUT I WOULDNT TRUST HIM WITH THE MONEY tbh !
