Saint don't like Mancs, but he seemed awright to me.

Infact I kind of agree with the Mancs comments (not Sven) but leaving Rafa in charge will do the others a favour in the league.

Rafa needs to go now!

The manc seemed alright, at the end of the day if he was on here to put a sensible point across and not cause any trouble I wouldn't have a problem with that and I don't think he was as he seemed to come across quite honest

The problem with the manc was, as Saint put it, hes a manc. As we all discuss the problems within the club with some sort of passion, the manc showed his true colours, as Woof put it, and revels in it. Riddance to the prat. This is a Liverpool forum, not a manc refugee one.

Excuse me , but I seem to have taken my eye of the ball ,it seems I have made the subsequent removal of the owners priority ,and yes I was prepared to overlook  Liverpool's lack of success until the above had taken place ..
you see  its hard to ignore when its happening at ground level ,when they are defecating on your own doorstep ,so I accept it is doubly difficult for some fans to grasp ,I mean how could you possibly be expected to sit with us at the big table

I refuse to stomach the thought of them hideous two winning this battle  ,because put simply they have walked into my City, sat in my church ,and literally all but destroyed this Club I loved  ,and now they intend making  us lose probably the one Man I genuinely believed   capable of putting us back where we belong , and do you know the most saddening thing is the thought of being alone in your beliefs ,estranged from the fans you  genuinely thought had your back  ,albeit in the City where it is hard to ignore ,because their influence and poison is now seeping into every pore , their odious stench hangs  ominously  over Anfield  were once it was odourless ,and without colour or shade ,it now corrupts the night sky of the city with an insipid red white and blue .. they starve the club in a war of attrition ,they allow our club to be ridiculed ,they induce derision on our once proud heritage ,and we blame the manager falling straight into their clammy hands  PRICELESS

For the want of  better description I loathe and detest these fu*cking harpies ,they sit miles away(not unlike a lot of posters it must be said ) plotting to exploit and besmirch Liverpool Football Club all in the name of making money ,so excuse me if I am not influenced by anything written on this forum ,because there are much urgent matters at hand ................ and if anyone takes offence at this,  well I am frankly past caring

Who knows maybe in the forthcoming future I might find my own patch of sand to bury my head in ,but I doubt it with the strength of conviction I hold now ,I seriously doubt it

As a footnote I would like to conclude this thread was initially about finding a solution to a problem ,not about the banning of some Manc ,who if I was prone to bigging myself up ,I would proclaim loudly I was on to with his first introductory post ,but then some people not unlike fans can see the glaringly obvious and some remain oblivious    ???

That is just what I don't believe.

I was one of the first on this site to warn about our owners. From the first time it was mentioned that they would be putting the debt against the club, I spoke out and posted about how they could sink this club in a mountain of debt similar to what happened to Leeds. Most just weren't interested, they had promised us Snoopy dogg and a shiny new stadium so why worry. So I believe I know a thing or two about our owners and the lies they have told.

I don't however blame them for our present predicament on the field. Yes they could have given Rafa more money and things would have been easier, BUT we have a good enough team to be challenging for the title, and the fact that we are not lies solely at the feet of the players and manager. The owners haven't trained the players, picked the players, picked the formations and the tactics. The owners haven't instructed the players to give up when things have gone wrong and told Rafa to persist in a formation that isn't working.

Yes it would have been nice to replace Sami with a better caliber of player than we did, but we had Skrtel, Agger and Carra who most thought would be more than adequate. Maybe Rafa wouldn't have blown his money on an expensive fullback and an injured midfield player if he had know , BUT we had a team that went close last year, and should have been up there challenging again. That we are not is not the owners fault.

So while I would love everyone to get along and all concentrate our hate towards the lying owners, I will continue to put the blame for our on the field performances where I think it lies.....not with the owners, but with the players and manager.

Ever thought that 'the many posters abroad' see things from a slightly clearer picture. While you in the midst of Liverpool City preaching this and that getting mixed up with all kinds of emotions on your doorstep. Think to consider us 'armchair' fans who wtach the whole picture unfold before us without the propaganda of hype, phone-ins, sky, SOS and all the other elements that turn your emotion running.
Get a grip, I hardly think its G&H plans to turn the fans against the the manager in the hope we fall into their clammy hands. Listen to yourself lad, the fans myself included have backed Rafa over those two "harpies". The only man who is able to cast doubt amongst the fans about Rafa Benitez, is Rafa himself. Yes the Yanks are a mockery, but would you honestly blame or even credit them for our onfield performances if we we were top of the table? Of course I'd hazard a good guess you still would not be happy with them at the club and express your comcerns in the H&G thread. But becasue things have gone pair shape on the field where the manager does his work its easy to point the finger at them and churn out a nice display of literacy at the same time.

You may feel on your own in your opinons, there may be a damn good reason for that, rather than just insinuating your some kind of martyr fan.

Peace

I was born and bred in Liverpool and although I no longer live there (due to work) I will always consider myself a scouser. Just because I do not walk the streets of the city everyday does not mean I cannot understand what is happening to our club and I will not blindly follow the manager just because we have two tw@ts as owners. I want more than anything a change of ownership for the better but I also believe that Rafa should share most of the responsibility for our on field performances, he builds the squad, he chooses the team and he decides the tactics not the owners.

Just because you were born in the city it does not give you the divine right to be the only fan with an affinity with the club, many fans  across the world love the club as much as you.

Great post full of sense
People are distracted with the owner issue
Rafa has had a glorious opportunity to rub their nose in it and show the world what a great manager he is
He has blown it big time

Probably the most frustrating thing about the whole season for me is that I absolutely believe this is a desperately poor Premiership this season, even worse than last season. While various people on here are accusing me of being happy that we aren't winning, I actually think it is infuriatingly frustrating to see us not even up there when we are more than capable of it.

For me Chelsea are the only good team in the division this season, and even then they aren't a patch on some of the teams which have won it previously. The Mancs are in second yet are a shadow of last years team which included Ronaldo and the two centre halves. Arsenal are pretty but as soft as sh!te down the spine with a very poor goalkeeper IMHO, Spurs are fitful, Villa a bit route one for my taste, City way behind where they ought to be.

Best player in the League so far this season? There isn't really an outstanding candidate for me which once again kind of says it all. I did have Fabregas down as in front on that score but I think Craig Bellamy might have gone past him, perhaps Drogba or El Nino might be less controversial choices and maybe closer I don't know. I just think if only we could have got something going early in the season we are every bit good enough to have been right up there. Whoevers fault people think it is, it's a travesty that we are back where we are.

Redbeergoggles - your post to me indicates exactly what i have been thinking for ages.

Most fans that are backing Rafa are doing it just because of the battle with the owners.

Every fan knows the owners are a disgrace and are the biggest problem at the club.
But like saint and boocity have said, that doesnt detract from the fact that the team should be up there challenging near the top of the league and should have gone through the champions league group as well.
We have lost 7 league games and we also lost 3 out of 6 champions league games.
That is unacceptable and the blame lies with Rafa and the players.

mick i agree totally.

United have lost 5 league games already and chelsea about 4.

If we were anywhere near the level of last season the league would be there for the taking.

But despite the fact that they have lost all of those games we are even further behind, labouring behind Birmingham !

Yet some will have us believe that this is the best we can hope for as Rafa wasnt given whatever money he was promised in the summer.

TBH, the divide just proves how much passion most of the people here have for the club
Why else would they wear their hearts on their sleeves and post such strong comments?
It's always frustrating and demoralizing when the club you loved as a boy is in a crisis
I still believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions
What RBG is trying to say with this post,IMHO, is that differences in opinions are fine
But, let's keep the personal attacks down
Finding a middle ground is difficult, and I don't really feel like dissecting what is wrong with the club,
especially after a long run of losses and that gut wrenching defeat to Portsmouth as well
But the bottom line should be that whether Rafa should get sacked or not, whether the Yanks should F*ck off or not,
let's not make personal attacks and just stick to our views and opinions
People who agree will chip in with their discerning insights, and people who disagree will present the other side of the coin
That's what makes this forum great, people with differing views presenting their invaluable two cents worth,
while still having the same passion and love for the club burning in their hearts
Let's not degrade this forum to a mud slugging platform
