No the point is what could have Moyes done with the money Rafa has wasted, you fkg sarcastic muppet - sorry there was no need for that!
Rafa has made good bargain signings too. Agger is one of the best in the PL on his day no doubt, he was coveted by AC Milan and cost what 5Mil?
He bought Alonso for only 10Mil and then sold him for more than 3 times that price.
He bought Fernando Torres who in his position is one of the best strikers in the world for a sum would probably be 3 times that amount by todays stupid standards. Even still 20mil was a bargain for him.
Reina one of top 3 keepers in the world he got for relativley cheap as well when you consider how much Buffon moved for a few years ago.
So suddenly Alonso becomes a bargain buy! Bought for £10.7m. Rafa was prepared to sell him last year for close to £17m which would have been ok but certainly not what you would call a bargain buy. And because LFC fkd about with the deal and Barry we end up keeping Alonso through no fault of Rafa's highly questionable man management skills and Alonso with a point to prove has an absolutely stand out season. Alonso fed up with Rafa still wants to go and ok we do all right but please don't give Benitez too much credit for that. And to compound matters he spends £20m of the £30m on Aquilani who at best will only be fit if we are very lucky for 75% of the season and insists that Lucas can replace Alonso!
As for Torres - great buy - fabulous player - but can you really regard a player that cost between £20m and £26m a bargain?
That leaves Agger and Rierra. Rierra is undoubtedly a success story but Agger whilst he can be very good is both injury prone and seems to have some off the field problems.

. Admittedly things have gone a bit quiet on the old trophy winning front since then, but its the owners fault, and fecking Parry
