Parking at .......or near anfield

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Hey all...

I just wanted to pick your brains for those lucky individuals who get to go to see the mighty reds regularly.

Fortunately, i am going to see the reds against Athletico Madrid and its my first time to anfield.

Can anyone recommend where a good place to park is. My cousin suggested the city centre but feel it may be too far to walk from.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Ok mate there's afew options for you ..

1/ Park at the Asda on utting avenue . It's a 5/10 min walk from there ,just follow the crowd .

2/ There are match day car parks around the ground but you have to get there really realy to get a spec .

3/I'm not sure if the socccerbus is running for this game , but i'll get back to you when i'm in work tomorrow and find out . If it is on all you have to do is park up at any merseyrail station .Buy a £3.30 saveaway ticket . Get the train to sandhills station and the soccer bus runs from there . It will take you to the match and back to sandhills station . Your saveaway ticket covers all your journey's ,rail/bus .

4/Park up in town and go to paradise street bus station by liverpool 1 and get the No 26/27 bus and it will stop outside the ground .

Hope that helps lash .

I'm glad someone made this thread as I was going to as well sooner or later. I should be driving up for a few games this season so this info is handy.

Cheers Igor.

You can park down there still but it's residential.

I park there but have to have a blue disabled badge, my boy is autistic so I have the official permit etc

You could park at Goodison also but it's £10 and frankly it's a no-no for many obvious reasons.  :;):

Just get the fecking train and forget about the motor!
Less hassle plus ya can have a fanta before and after the game if you wish! :nod
Might as well make a day of it and enjoy the atmosphere in a few bars rather than park go to the match and go home.
Hit town after and pick up a hot scouse chick, plenty about Liverpool!! :D
Maybe you'll get a free nights B&B if ya touch lucky!

There is a good car park quite close to the ground (or there used to be). The only problem with it is it sometimes takes a while to get away after the game. Never had a problem getting a space tbh. Just getting away after the game is a bit of a mare unless you leave before the end.

a few years ago there was the same 3 kids that asked us every home game for 2 quid to look after the car. It was my mates car and one week we paid the kid £2 and when we got back the car had been scratched, probably not by the kid but anyway, fortnight later we parks up, little kid appears "£2 to look after the car mister" to which my mate replied "tell me how come I paid you £2 last game and I got that big scratch down it then?" Kid didn't look too interested but just chirped out "well it wasn't us mister we use the house brick through windscreen method - far more affective, now, £3 to look after the car mister" , mate quickly paid up
