Liverpool at anfield - Why can we play at anfield but not away

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

3 games at Anfield in the league and 3 wins.
1 game at Anfield in the Champions League and 1 win.

Why can we play so well at home but find it so difficult on the road? Surely fans don't make that much of a diference.

Our away games this year have been tricky up to now.
Sheff U's first game back in the prem. They were up for it.
Everton is whoever wants it more on the day and this time round it was them.
Chelsea, always going to be difficult and we were beaten by a great goal by a sh!t player.
Bolton. we never beat them at the Reebok.

My only worry is we haven't played well in any of those 4 away games (5 if you include PSV) so why is this so?

Thoughts please.

We played better at Chelsea than we did at home to both Newcastle and Tottenham.  Fact.

We did play well in some parts of the games that we lost.  Also the teams that we played away have been better teams then we played at home.

Yup we sure did but we failed to pick up any points, whereas Villa got 1 and are no where as good as us.  :Oo:

It does make me cringe as its already been stated even though we played a lot better than other teams away we still cannot pick up even 1 point away, lets just hope its a little glitch and we go on to win the premiership !  :wwww  :D

I have many thoughts on this but having read his posts, the one that stnads out above all others is that the topic starter is a wind-up merchant.

If the topic is genuine he is quite right and I think he may have touched on something revolutionary here. I have trawled through the stats going beck to 1948 and nearly all teams got more points at Home than they did Away. Unbelieveable.
