It was my mates car and one week we paid the kid £2 and when we got back the car had been scratched, probably not by the kid but anyway, fortnight later we parks up, little kid appears "£2 to look after the car mister" to which my mate replied "tell me how come I paid you £2 last game and I got that big scratch down it then?" Kid didn't look too interested but just chirped out "well it wasn't us mister we use the house brick through windscreen method - far more affective, now, £3 to look after the car mister" , mate quickly paid up

was it Oliver Twist?

:D

i like it.....or maybe they're from home alone.

we're going up pretty early and going to try and do the stadium tour aswell(two birds, one stone) so not really expecting any problems parking, but just like to be prepared.

Cheers fellas....lets hope this isnt my first and last time im going to be going....

If you're planning on doing the stadium tour on Saturday you'll probably be out of luck as they don't run them on match days:
Important Note:

1. There are no stadium tours on match days.
The day before a televised home game, we can only offer a 'mini tour', at a reduced price, that takes you onto the Kop and to no other part of the stadium. This is due to pre-match preparation works within the stadium.

2. All stadium tours are subject to alteration or cancellation at very short notice.
Whilst every effort is made to minimise such disruption, it is impossible to fully avoid. We will always try to help find you an alternative time and date, but cannot guarantee that this will be possible. Please be aware that when you book a flight/hotel, any pre-booked tour might be cancelled and that LFC cannot take any responsibility for costs incurred.

1/ Park at the Asda on utting avenue . It's a 5/10 min walk from there ,just follow the crowd .

2/ There are match day car parks around the ground but you have to get there really realy to get a spec .

3/I'm not sure if the socccerbus is running for this game , but i'll get back to you when i'm in work tomorrow and find out . If it is on all you have to do is park up at any merseyrail station .Buy a £3.30 saveaway ticket . Get the train to sandhills station and the soccer bus runs from there . It will take you to the match and back to sandhills station . Your saveaway ticket covers all your journey's ,rail/bus .

4/Park up in town and go to paradise street bus station by liverpool 1 and get the No 26/27 bus and it will stop outside the ground .

Hope that helps lash .

Probably the best info you'll get mate.

You can park in a road called Westminster road (google it) - it has easier access to town too. And you dont get
the little scallies demanding money.

Dunno but I assume would be. If I can find a coach service that would be better as at least I could have a few drinks then. Will have a look around this week some time.

Is that with national rail? Yeah you would have to book way in advance for that, probably sooner than I would even be able to get hold of tickets tbh.

Reg no i opted for a golf in the end. I liked the look of the MG but too many horror stories going around so decided to give it a miss.

Dont get to go that often - maybe a couple of times a year but we normally park in the school on the road up to the Cabbage - not sure what its called but its normally about £5 in there and never had any problems.  They normally like you out 30 minutes after the game has finished.

Walking to and from the ground is part of the excitement I think. I used to do the trek from Toxteth through Kensington to Anfield and back in nice weather. Going in your own car makes you feel a bit isolated til you are at the ground, walking or getting the bus helps you soak in the atmosphere.

The problem with some of the smaller car parks, you can have difficulty getting your car out.
They tend to cram them in a bit so it can take a while to get away I suppose.
Goodison is 'ok' as a last resort because irrespective of where you are parked inside you can get out easily, and it is very secure - just expensive.
Not that I would advocate anyone parking there it is one of the better places, but £10 is a lot of money unless there are a few of you.
They do permits that cover the whole season.

There are few advantages in having a disability in the family but for match parking it is useful for me and as a season ticket holder does save me some money too.

I really appreciate all the help im getting boys and girls.......

im thinking to park maybe about 10min walk away, so we can nip into a pub for lunch for something, and then hopefully the traffic wont be too bad on the way back down to birmingham.

I realise this isnt the right forum but does anyone who wht the view would be likfe from the lower centenary? Im thinking of taking an SLR camera but the zoom isnt that great but the quality is awesome.
