sorry mate but to compare masha with diouf is a fecking insult to the man! please mate remember what that tw@t diouf did to a celtic fan, then realise where i'm coming from on this.

masha has more intelligence than you give him credit for. he was fecking imence for us last season,an loves playing for LFC. of cause he will be flattered to be linked with the likes of barca, but that again was just rumour that he wanted to leave,is un settled etc it's the fecking media hype,sh1t stiring storys that get out of hand.

i for one really hope masha stays as i still say his departure would weaken the side big time. fecking made up he has joined the squad for the tour, that itself gives me an indecation of his commitment to LFC which is a benefit allround.

I think cana would be a good replacement if he actually leaves but it seems he is signing with sunderland. Cana is great at breaking up opposition play and letting forwards do their thing.

Anyone know how much Barca paid with Etoo for Zlatan?

I read the original offer was something like £30m plus Eto'o and Hleb goes on loan in exchange for Ibra

Ibrahimovic - now THERE'S a complete waste of space....Couldn't believe Maureeno saying last year before the CL games vs. the Manc scum that he was one of the most talented and gifted players he had ever managed.
In both of those games, he barely moved enough to scratch his hoop....sheesh....

He has been :censored: in Europe but in Italy he has done ok. Having said that he seems generally like the type who doesn't do :censored: all if he can't be arsed. A big ego that's all.

On the whole I would say Serie A has gone down the pan in terms of how the top teams can mix it with the other top teams elsewhere.

It should be the other way round with that transfer. Inter pay Barca a sum with Ibrahomic as a sweet'ner. He's obviously got quite some quality about him the Swede but the attitude, the work-rate, the desire to be the very best? Not for me, and certainly not ahead of Eto'o.

And, as if needed any confirmation, Pep Guardiola intimated in an interview after the Spurs game they were in Masch, but the 'problem is Benitez wants to keep him'. Didn't sound too optimistic so some good news.

dont think many who actually watch the Italian league & the Spanish league would agree with you there but im not gonna go into it in detail again... safe to say in terms of scoring records they dont come much better than Ibrahimovic... In terms of technical ability, natural talent, strength on the ball...etc he's one of the best around....

fact that most Barcelona fans think that a deal that involved (taking their leading goalscorer in recent times + 40mill Euros + Hleb on loan) is good business for them must be strange as hell to you  :D

For a bloke who has the better goalscoring ratio in a league that's head and shoulders above it's Italian counterpart I think it's fair to say you're chatting out of your derriere when you argue 'most' who 'actually' watch the Spanish and Italian league wouldn't agree with. I 'actually' watch La Liga, I occasionally get to see Serie A too, I've also been fortunate enough to see both of them in international action - Ibrahimovic in particular - and at the very least Ibrahimovic is no better than Eto'o, but it would be more accurate in my opinion to say that Eto'o is the better striker of the two, by quite a margin overall I think. Most of those Barca fans who can't wait for the deal to go through have probably developed an addiction to playing football manager, since it surely cannot escape the mind of a reasonably aware supporter that Eto'o has been absolutely pivotal in their winning of La Liga and Champions League titles in recent seasons. Indeed, I imagine the fact he has a year left on his contract is the key factor at play here, rather than any of the supposition you point to.

I never really like Ibrahimovic... I know he is technically gifted but his work rate is not there... he reminds me of berbatove albeit a better version... IMO Eto'o and Torres are right now the two best out and out strikers in the world...

I think Samuel Eto is a fantastic player, always have, and I think he'll be a brilliant signing for Inter. His manager has completed a very shrewd piece of business here in my view, as he is twice the player Ibrhamivoic is.

Tell you what Magus, I'm almost without fail suspiocious of these foreign Johnnies who very often are Carlos Kickaball's, but the real top quality ones I've got no bother with. I would fecking love us to have signed Samuel Eto, and in fairness to the manager I think he would have gone for it as well if we could have afforded him. He could fill for Gerrard or Torres, if they were both fit you could play him off Torres and move Gerrard back to centre mid, and he could probably play as a Kuyt style wide man as well. Fecking great player I think anyway.

Fecking brilliant piece of business by mourinho , they get a better striker and 30 odd million as well to strengthen up their squads , with milan now having lost kaka , they surely have to be favourites to win the seria A again along with juventus
