Roma ace Alberto Aquilani has been told by the Italian club to prepare for life in the Premier League with Liverpool, according to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
The report suggests the Reds are expected to make a move for the Italian midfielder if Xabi Alonso joins Real Madrid. In light of those developments, the Giallorossi are ready to cash in on Aquilani in order to balance their books, and they have told him to prepare for a move.
Club directors have never completely ruled out the possibility of selling their man and the feeling at Trigoria is that the Rome-born midfielder will be sold for the right money. Any move is now hinging on Alonso and Real Madrid.
Reds coach Rafael Benitez has already claimed that Alonso will remain with the English team and it is suggested Real have slowed down their chase for the Spaniard. On Monday, Aquilani's agent, Franco Zavaglia, said there was nothing concrete in the recent press reports.
The player is currently recovering from ankle surgery and he is expected to return to action in August.

Wellthem, Xabi and Masch have a long way to go in their contracts so simply throwing their rattles out of their prams is not going to get them what they want.
They need to grow up the pair of them I am honestly sick of this situation and with their silence. They don't have the bollock.s to tell the fans straight what they really want, instead they talk through their fecking agents.
