whether or not he will ever be good enough to step into first team shoes is debatable

Sort of a microcosm of the way last season played out. We only really opened things up and started scoring for fun when we were almost dead and dusted.
As far as Lucas is concerned, I've seen flashes that I like and a little too much of things I don't like about his game. His lack of pace means he needs to read things better to be effective. IMO the only way that will happen is for him to keep getting games and experience. I do think he has it in him to become a decent Liverpool player.
