Nooo way Alonso makes so much more of an impact than Tevez and even if we did buy Tevez would it mean going to the 4-4-2 formation which we havent had recent success with?

Bring in Barry for more versatility in midfield, a decent striker who wont cost too much and is there mainly to cover for when Torres is taken off so we can keep our lone striker formation and a decent right back.

I cant see Benitez selling Alonso anyways.. he didnt sell him last year when he was doing :censored:

, the chances of rafa selling him this year after hes had the season of his life is very very slim.

When we sign Tevez ,we will surely be the best looking side in the Prem .

When you think of Shrek, Ducklips and Horselips (and those are the better looking ones) that title will go to Utd.

I'll probably come in for some flack but I think either Alonso or Masch would have to be sacrificed for Tevez. Id probably let Masch go.

buy tevez for 30 million, and we still got 21-23 million for Silva. That's it. That would have really strengthened the squad.

That`s not simple at all.
Firstly,the Keane money is not in our Kitty.
Secondly,Tevez is going to blow our complete transfer budget meaning we have to sell to buy a Barry or a Silva type player.If you want Both Barry and Silva then we`ll need to raise atleast 30 million in sales.Xabi will be sold,Tevez,Barry and Silva are Midfielders..........................

I think you mean Silva (Da Silva brothers play for Utd mate). But yeah that looks like the most likley outcome. Although I love Masch I would prefer to not lose Xabi and instead offload him.

Xabi`s passes are fantastic but Tevez is much more of a match winner when you draw 12 games a season.

I think if we got a big offer Rafa would sell him.

FWIW............Tevez may well be a quality player but I think some of us have forgot one of the traditions of the club here, we DON'T buy Man U players !

Call me old fashioned but we have certain unwritten traditions at this club that are being eroded away in the hope we can acquirte the Holy Grail that has become the Premier League Title.

Benitez has been at the club 5 years , the Americans even less. I've been here all my life and thats significantly longer so let me repaet , we DON'T buy Manchester United players ...end of !

We haven`t won the league in 20 yrs mate,IMHO opinion we DO buy manU players if we can win the league.
