Some of us on here are far too confident . FFS Fulham have beaten manure , and arsenal at home and drawn with chelsea there . Their record is excellent almost similar to ours against the big four . I think they are going to be very hard to break down hopefully schwarezer doesn't have a blinder like he did against manure . I don't think we will play well as we normally don't after international breaks .
I think we will draw this game 0-0 or fulham could even nick a goal through a set piece as they have some big guys , hangeland and zamora . Sorry for the pessimism guys

spot on lets go back to worring and stressing cos we was winning more when we was doing that.

:D

Tbh tho they are good side and comming of back of win vrs manc's they gonna be up for this might make it easyer for us since we are better at teams that open up.

Just my 2 cents.

the positive side of me predicts: :D

4-0 victory over Fulham and a 1-1 draw for Villa against Manure

The negative side of me says:  :(

a 0-0 draw with Fulham and manure thrash villa 5-0

If we beat fulham it will pile the pressure on manure and could tip the balance, because the fact we will be top of the league will seriously play on their minds.

Surprisingly Fulham have lost only once to the 'big four' this season, a bit of a hammering at old trafford (0-3) In FOUR of their games against them, the 'big four' side failed to score

Fulham vs 'big four' : P6 W2 D3 L1 F5 A5 PTS 9/18

BUT they have lost three times at home this season (P15 W9 D3 L3), to Hull, West Ham and Blackburn so two sides in relegation trouble and the two home defeats to Hull and Blackburn preceding their win over the mancs.

Always dangerous to get to carried away, we've won games before and then dropped points where we shouldn't have. Even this season we've dropped points in London, not our favourite destination.

Premiership results in London

08/09 : P3 W1 D1 L1 F3 A3 PTS 4 (Won 33.33%)
07/08 : P4 W2 D1 L1 F4 A1 PTS 7 (Won 50.00%)
06/07 : P7 W4 D0 L3 F9 A6 PTS 12 (Won 57.14%)
05/06 : P6 W1 D1 L4 F3 A9 PTS 4 (Won 16.67%)
04/05 : P6 W2 D1 L3 F8 A9 PTS 7 (Won 33.33%)

In 05/06 we lost six games, four of them in London. Obviously it is the home of Arsenal and Chelsea, but you don't get too many easy games in London.

Premiership results in London

Under Rafa : P26 W10 D4 L12 F27 A28 PTS 34 (Won 38.46%)
Overall : P97 W33 D22 L42 F111 A118 PTS 121 (Won 34.02%)

Disappointing part of it is we've lost around the same number as we've won, if not exactly the same, at Fulham, West Ham, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace and Charlton. Same old story of "teams we should be beating" beating us. I left out Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea, our record at Chelsea is attrocious with 11 away defeats in 17 visits.

Least favourite Premiership away days

1. Stamford Bridge - Lost 11 times in 17 visits
2. old trafford - Lost 9 times in 17 visits
3. White Hart Lane - Lost 7 times in 17 visits
4. Riverside - Lost 6 times in 14 visits
5. St James Park - Lost 6 times in 16 visits
6. Highbury/Emirates - Lost 6 times in 16 visits (won 5 times)
7. goodison park - Lost 6 times in 17 visits (won 7 times)

I think Fulham away is in the same category as Boro away, Spurs away etc - we've had a
patchy run of results there; winning last season but losing the two seasons before.

I remember on Match of the Day they were analysing how Fulham played against Man U.
They showed how when not in possession the players were dropping deep into their own
half and gave Man U no space to play.

If they do that against us, we might have a hard time.

Gotta say, Im not mega confident. Get any early goal and life might be easier.

Fulham will try and smother us, we need to be constantly moving and creating space. I´m available if need be.....

Fulham beat man utd simply because Scholes was sent off early on. Lee Dixon was bleating about "winning mentality", but the truth is if Scholes had let the ball go in then the mancs would probably have come back and won. It isn't "winning mentality" to stop the ball on the line that early in the game, if he was such a "winner" he'd be ultra confident they could win from 0-1 down. I reckon they'd have equalised first half, gone on to win second half as Fulham would have been wary of the manc threat.

As it was they went a goal up and played 10 men, of course that lifted them in a way just one goal (and no red card) wouldn't have.

Thats the thing though Zara, I do believe, but I try to keep it to myself if you  get my drift. I hope and believe we can win the title, I just don't like tempting fate by saying we'll beat Fulham 4-0 or anything. I think it is naive and ignorant to come out and say things like this. Of course though I have just expressed how I feel in the run up to games, so there goes my quiet theory out the window.

1-0 to Liverpool it is then.  :D

Lets hope Danny Murphy does us a favour and has a word with his team mates. I'm not suggesting he will accept an envelope full of twenties or anything, but i'm sure he would want us to win the league instead of Manure.  :D
From Shankly to Brendan we follow our team, Rome to Istanbul we've all lived the dream. Our journey is long, our goal stays the same, to keep for our children the famous red name.
