The pressure and the anxiety of 18 years.

Not sure i follow mate  ???

What i meant was if we drop points against Fulham, united then will be under less pressure going into their match with Villa.
But if we win we go above them and then they really might start worrying.

Both sides have the potential to provide a surprise.

Man U play on Sunday Reg, 4pm.

We will beat Fulham comfortably and Villa will either beat Manure or hold them to a draw.

Best be right or I'm coming after you  :p

anyform of scrappy victory will do for me, its gonna be a tough one. It dosnt matter how we do it as long as we win, and we MUST win to put the pressure on the Mancs on sunday. Very Very important weekend in the title race, if we win we go top for a while and Man United may start to start to sweat a little and maybe just maybe they will cave.

This is really important....a win for us really turns up the heat on Manure, who are already under big pressure after 2 defeats, and with 3 key players out.

In the title run in, this really could be massive.

Any sort of win please!!

we didnt create too many chances against them at anfield but they had zero attacking ideas that night. at CC hopefully they will be more expansive which will suit the reds down to the ground.

Am worried there will be wholesale changes for this game, do we have a game the following weekend or is it FA Cup? I'd like us to stick with the same side that beat Villa. Please don't mess with the back four, please don't think it's OK to rest Alonso for Lucas and don't be dropping Kuyt and Riera after they both scored in our last match.

My biggest concern regarding this match is the international break. I hope to God that none of our key players pick up injuries; it's guaranteed that some will be jet-lagged and other at least fatigued. As far as I remember Mascherano is often rested after internationals as he's fecked from travelling back from South America. That may well apply to Aurelio and Lucas this time (although I'm not sure if Lucas travelled). Our players also have a day less than United's to recover.

We've MUST play our quick tempo, attack-attack-attack game again. I'd love it if we just took over from where we left off.

Does anyone know how many of the Fulham players are playing internationals this week?

Will be a tough match as usual. Which matches are not tough now considering we are fighting it all for the title now. Every premier league match is like a final.. Anyhow on paper we should beat fulham with ease but we all know what could happen against the lower sides.
Fulham have got a decent home record and have got more wins at home then arsenal and chelsea. They have scored and conceded a decent number of goals. This will be no pushover so i would take a 1-0 win anyday. Must win this one..
Anways my prediction it will be 1-2 to us. Common red men!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought il share this with you guys!

STAUNTON BACKING REDS TITLE HOPES

Former Red Steve Staunton believes Liverpool have given themselves a great chance of beating Manchester United to the Premier League crown this season.
The former Republic of Ireland manager - who was part of the last Liverpool title triumph in 1990 - is excited by the way Rafael Benitez's side are playing and said the good times are on their way back to Anfield.

"The momentum is certainly with them," said Staunton.

"They're scoring goals and keeping it tight at the back.

"They've got a beautiful blend and what's pleasing from my own - and every Liverpool supporter's - viewpoint is the fact that it's like the old Anfield now.

"The team's coming out from the off and having a right good go at the opposition, putting them on the back foot. It looks as though Liverpool have got 12 or 13 players on the pitch. It's just like the old days.

"Rafa's signed a new contract, everybody's settled and they've got the bit between their teeth.

"They know they have to win every game. If they do win, it will be like United winning the league title after 26 years. I remember that because I was at Villa and we came second!

"If they had to choose between that and the Champions League, Liverpool fans would want the league title. That's the burning desire after 19 years."

Staunton has nothing but admiration for the club and for him he will always cherish the honour of being part of a title winning team at Anfield.

"I remember the last time very well - and we won it at a canter.

"I was playing for a club I supported. There were a lot of Irish players there, a lot of people I looked up to. They were my boyhood heroes.

"But you soon find out you are part of the furniture. It doesn't matter if you cost ten pounds, ten grand, ten million, you're treated the same.

"That's the way the club was run - and that's how Benitez runs it now. It's about the team, not individuals."
