Rafa will be gone by the summer i am almost sure of it.

This is the Valencia saga without the two leauge titles.

well if he does go that will please a number of people - but they wont be so pleased when we have to go through the whole rebuilding proccess once again .

well i know people will say good ridance if players do leave because rafa goes but that still doesnt make it good when you consider the quality we could loose if rafa did go .

RAFA: KEANE IN FRAME TO FACE WIGAN

Rafa Benitez today confirmed that Robbie Keane will be in the Liverpool squad to face Wigan Athletic on Wednesday evening.
Keane missed the 1-1 draw with Everton in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday, but Benitez revealed he is back in contention for a first team place and is hoping the summer signing can get on the scoresheet against Steve Bruce's side.

"Robbie had a day off on Sunday, he trained on Monday and today as normal - he will be in the squad for tomorrow," Benitez told his pre-match press conference.

"We are just thinking about using him in tomorrow's game. I will be very pleased if he can score against Wigan Athletic.

"He is working very hard and will be a very important player for the rest of the season. Keane is in the squad so we don't need to talk too much about him."

The Reds boss also warned against the threat Wigan will pose at the JJB Stadium but insisted that his Liverpool charges know how to go about getting the three points.

"Every single game in the Premier League is tough," said Benitez.

"Wigan has a very good record at home - they have a good team with a lot of quality and are physically strong too, so it will be a very difficult game for us.

"My players are working very hard and training well, but we have to create more chances and win these games.

"We just have to keep going."

Found this on footy rumours..

LFC – More Fact than rumour,regarding Rafa rejecting a new contract because he wants full control of Transfer activity at the club. A very good source at the club informs me that at the end of last season (just before Euro 2008), Rafa had received information from sources/insiders at Valencia (who were struggling Financially)that they were prepared to sell David Villa to for £25m. Villa was informally approached and was happy about the prospect of linking up with Torres and also wearing the famous LFC No.7. Rafa then went around saying that he needed to act quickly in the transfer market to get the players he wanted. However it then seems that Rick Parry and his Team entered into preliminary negotiations with Valencia but tried to barter them down to £20m (obviously working in the best interests of the Gillet and Hicks). Valencia turned this offer down and as the process dragged on Euro 2008 kicked off, and as you are aware David Villa stole the show. After Euro 2008 Valencia were able to doule David Villa's value and so Liverpool, due to restricted finances were blown out of any potential deal. Rafa was furious with Parry's inept negotiating skills as this was not the first time a potential deal had fallen through over what was peanuts. My source informs me that Parry then formulated the deal for Robbie Keane late in the Summer Transfer Window as he was the only real viable option left within the Club's budget. Rafa will not let this issue rest and his treatment of Keane is a bit of a "told you so" to the board and Rick Parry. Rafa will walk away from the if Parry is not relieved of all transfer decisions and negotiations. !!

Im not saying for a second nothings went on between Rafa and Keane.Im as bemused as the rest of the supporters as to why Rafa has treated him so oddly.
BUT hopefully this is the end of it and they have kissed and made up and we can forget about it all.

Whatever way ya look at it now though its all eyes on Keane.He MUST put a good performance in tomorrow night.Can you imagine the :censored:

If Rafas trying to prove a point with keane then hes failing.
If he had enough faith in keanes ability to buy him, he needs to have faith enough to play him until he comes good.

I wander if it has something to do with the shaking of the head when substituted and all the facial expressions from Keane that has something to do with (oh yeah and the fact he misses sitters) the lack of play time Keane gets. It would p1ss me off if I was manager. He is not good when we play teams that defend ten behind the ball which is often. He started off playing regularly did not perform and now plays less. Simple really!
