I wander if it has something to do with the shaking of the head when substituted and all the facial expressions from Keane that has something to do with  (oh yeah and the fact he misses sitters) the lack of play time Keane gets. It would p1ss me off if I was manager. He is not good when we play teams that defend ten behind the ball which is often. He started off playing regularly did not perform and now plays less. Simple really!

But he's plenty to prove at LFC,his performances have been mostly nowhere near whats expected off him,or what he's capable of doing consistantly.

Theres a huge amount of pressure on him now IMO because of all the hype about him being unused!The fans expect,the manager will expect and the media will be waiting with sharp knives on him to fail.I hope he plays a blinder tomorrow night and scores,then I hope Rafa gives the lad a run of games,he comes good and becomes accepted...cause it just does'nt feel like he has been so far.

LFC – More Fact than rumour,regarding Rafa rejecting a new contract because he wants full control of Transfer activity at the club. A very good source at the club informs me that at the end of last season (just before Euro 2008), Rafa had received information from sources/insiders at Valencia (who were struggling Financially)that they were prepared to sell David Villa to for £25m. Villa was informally approached and was happy about the prospect of linking up with Torres and also wearing the famous LFC No.7. Rafa then went around saying that he needed to act quickly in the transfer market to get the players he wanted. However it then seems that Rick Parry and his Team entered into preliminary negotiations with Valencia but tried to barter them down to £20m (obviously working in the best interests of the Gillet and Hicks). Valencia turned this offer down and as the process dragged on Euro 2008 kicked off, and as you are aware David Villa stole the show. After Euro 2008 Valencia were able to doule David Villa's value and so Liverpool, due to restricted finances were blown out of any potential deal. Rafa was furious with Parry's inept negotiating skills as this was not the first time a potential deal had fallen through over what was peanuts. My source informs me that Parry then formulated the deal for Robbie Keane late in the Summer Transfer Window as he was the only real viable option left within the Club's budget. Rafa will not let this issue rest and his treatment of Keane is a bit of a "told you so" to the board and Rick Parry. Rafa will walk away from the if Parry is not relieved of all transfer decisions and negotiations. !!

What have I learned from this episode is you cant recreate a Rush and Dalglish relationship despite how well T&K 'should' have bonded on paper.
All players are individual and either they click or they dont. Once again it just makes you realise how blessed we were to have some of the former partnerships - KK & Tosh, Kenny & Rushie, Fowler & Anyone, or at the back H&L, Emlyn and Smithy etc..

Keanes a great player but he hasnt gelled yet with anyone either up front or in midfield so he running round like a headless chicken neither one thing nor the other.

He´ll get there, but everyones go to get off his back first FFS.

its what i kept saying throughout the summer mate - get pavlyuchenko and silva instead of keane and reira - now those two would of improved our attacking abilities 100% more than keane and reira.

Silva is a better player than Riera but the price diffrence is vast. Pavlyachenco over Keane? no thanks, keane is a much better player and is much better value than the £12.6m spurs paid for the russian.

In what way is he better value ?? pavlyuchenko already has scored more than keane plus he is also younger by a fair amount of years and also cheaper as well . keane was way over priced so in no way does he present any kind of value for money , even more so when you conside that torres was only 3 million more than keane ??!?!

Pavlyuchenko is 27, Keane massive age diffrence there isnt it. Pavlyuchenko has scored 12 goals to Keanes 7, of his 12 goals 3 have come in the league and 6 in the carling cup.

Keane was expensive but he is an established goalscorer at Premiership and International level, pavlyuchenko isnt.

silva is a top quality player but didn't want to leave spain. the same with david villa. the fact is they may be available in the summer as valencia are in a dire financial state but even then you're looking at £50m for the pair. Pavlyuchenko is average at best.

can't believe more bigger clubs weren't interested in podolski though.

podolski's a very average player, if you ever check him out for Bayern in the bundesliga you would see. He stands out in a poor German national side. He's going back to cologne now, not even the other decent german sides wanted him, his reputation is based on the performances he put in for Germany at the world cup and euro's, he is an extremely inconsistent performer.

yet still manages to score a lot of goals for germany and was scoring a lot of goals for bayern before the manager started preferring Luca Toni and Klose to himself .

Good record for Germany, but he has been distinctly average for Bayern and has NEVER been a regular for them.

he was a regular when he first went there but the managers preffered toni to him - plus the fact the guy is still young . he was germanys best player in the euros and outshone most of the others playing from a left sided role . he isnt world class but still a very very good player .

So whats gonna happen with Keane tomorrow, he has all eyes on him again and all the pressure, what happens if he has a poor game this time, will Rafa take him off and drop him? i hope not coz i cant see the media letting this one drop for a while and i think Rafa should give him a chance to play himself into form for the benefit of Keane and Rafa

Love that footie rumours one about Rafa being in for David Villa and Parry fecking it up . He's useless that Parry bloke, I also heard we tried to sign Lionel Messi when he was a sixteen year old, but because Rafa wasn't in total control of the youth academy we missed out on him. Apparently Parry didn't fancy him but decided we needed a centre half. Totally off his own back he flew to Argentina and signed Gabriel Palletta for 2 million quid  .

The only transfers which were actually all Rafa's own work are Alonso, Reina, Masherano (although in his case very recent evidence has surfaced that Rafa only wanted to pay 11 million for him but Parry negotiated it up to 18) and of course Torres. By all accounts Parry wanted to sell both Gerrard and Carragher as well, but Rafa persuaded them to stay. Apparently behind the scenes both players have made it clear that if rafa doesn't get his new contract and fecking sharpish, they're going to move to London and look for a new club.
