LIVERPOOL VS EVERTON - FA cup 4th round Sunday 16.00pm ko

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I agree with Ciggy - Torres was sh*te. Blasphemy? No. Fact. Torres just seems to be trying a little too hard at the minute to impress and recapture his form from a season ago. He does the nice thing by turning players, but it's his decision making at the end that lets him down at times. He often runs into the defender or gets it knicked off him instead of passing it. Can't fault him for trying, but it can get annoying. Still, he'll produce a rabbit out of the hat at times, which he did for Steve's goal.

We're not missing anyone who can break down defenses. It's just our general play in the last 3rd. We're trying to walk it in, and when that fails, the floater into the box comes out. The play just needs to be a little quicker with more shots in and outside the box. Kuyt wide right isn't helping at all. I said ages ago that we can't win the league with Kuyt as a wide right player. I hope I'm wrong.

if we had someone who could break down defences with some creativity then our general play in the final third would be alot better. so saying we don't need anyone is rubbish! kuyt is a waste of space, how he continues to play every game is beyond me! can't blame the formation, the fact is we arn't good enough! we won't win the league and real will run riot in the champs league

For us. chelsea next week. cant wait!

Scum

I'm not having that.

We were far better than them on the day and deserved to win. We'd enough chances to do so. They played some really scrappy stuff and defended well. We deserved to win, end of.

People forget: it's the FA Cup and cup games are like this no matter who you play, not least playing your rivals in a derby game. We'll do them at theirs. F*ck em.

Whatever.

Im not bothered If Rafa Walks right now, no mess.

I cannot believe that that is actually what you believe? It must be hot air.

If this is what you believe please state how it would benefit us at the moment and untill the end of the season?

I dont think Torres was as bad as people made him out to be today, thought he was ok, showed some glimpses of his old self, but still lacked sharpness and he was starved of service.

Torres was very poor apart from his pass to Gerrard.
Feck off with yer Rafa out the 11 men on the pitch need to take responsibility.

Rafa is not to blame for today, neither was that team selection on Monday. Go figure. You winning bitching kunts.

so tell me ciggy who do we blame for kuyt being left on the pitch despite been shocking all day (some might say all season ) who do we blame for our 20 million quid striker not even being on the bench. who do we blame for not drilling it into his defenders to defend set pieces. if he doesnt deserve stick for these things then he should never get any credit for things going right. following your logic why do we need managers at all.
shamrock rovers and liverpool are not a matter of life and death to me. they are much more important than that.

CIGGY you have no point in any of your coments.

never mind encouraging others to ban me.

you have 21,000 posts, and about 20,999 of them are garbage.

we are a cr*p team, end of.

3rd place is the best we can hope for, as you cannot draw your way to the league title.

Stop dreaming

And you need to feck off back to Blue kipper

So you have told me who you would replace him for. Ridiculous choice by the way. Wasnt good enough for Bolton never mind us.

Now tell me how sacking rafa n bringing in anyone, never mind sammy kee would benefit us from now untill the end of the season.

Your a joke man.

I hope I'm wrong too..... This was like the Stoke City game all over. This is simply tortune as its been deja vous every week. It seems they are afraid and blaming teammates on the pitch. They are definitely not united and major problem behind the scene. The only thing we are consistent is most of our players are consistently bad. Is it mental or something else? Please let me know.....Although we have to give credit to Neverton defending but if we can't win these kind of game, we don't deserve any tropy this year. If we can't even scored those clear chances such as the one Kuyt had in the second half, we are Fu.cked.

Look, how long have people been saying this? One player will NOT change our general style of play outside the box. What can you do if there's 6 blue shirts in front of someone. Doesn't matter if you're Messi and Maradonna combined. You still ain't getting round them. There's little movement movement off the ball, and Kuyt is never going to have the skill and pace to trouble the back line from wide right. I listened to Teddy Sheringham talk complete balls last night when he said Carrick was the only player in the Prem that could have made the pass he made into Berbatov for his goal. What a load of sh*te. If that's the kind of player you're talking about, then we've had one of them for years. He's called Xavi Alonso, and IMO, there's no better passer of the ball in the Prem than him.

I think Torres is just rusty. FFS he has only just come back and isnt this his first 90mins since? We cant expect him to score all the time but he still played well. I would have swapped Kuyt for Keane but thats a story in itself and I don't think anyone has a clue whats really going on there. It's a shame becasue we paid all that money to bring in someone who can score and create more goals and he doesn't even play. I just hope we don't implode. To be honest I wouldn't mind getting knocked out of the FA Cup if it meant we could still challange for the league and CL. (I know its against the bitters but its a lot of games we are playing and we dont have the quality in depth to challange on all fronts yet.

It was a dreadful first half - but a much better 2nd half.

I think we'll do 'em at their place.
