Will Smith - Seven Pounds. Bored me near to death , one of the slowest moving pointless movies I've ever seen, and utterly fking depressing . I'm getting angry just thinking about what I load of sh'ite it was, wasted two hours of my life watching this c'rap  . Avoid like the plauge.  0/10

I watched a film last night an i know i shouldnt be saying this me being a lady an all but it was Brilliant. It was called Cass an it was about that Cass Pennant who used to be a football hooligan in the 80s with West Ham. Bit Violent, but those who were around then will know the lad. Good British film an well worth a watch. I related to loads in the film

I just seen the film Surveillance

It had the potential to be good but turned out to be annoying. Its a film that centers around one event that took place and everyone has a different story

Body of Lies. I expected a lot more tbh, I enjoyed it but it should have been so much better. Tried to be all things and ended up being just above average, but does keep you watching to the end.  6/10

A film set in Belfast in the 80s about a guy in the IRA but who was also a tout to the British. I have to say it wasnt a bad film and it told a good story. Some hard hitting scences in places but the acting in it is very good.

7.5/10

Read the book mate if you want to know the truth!
The movie did touch on the truth,I have to say and overall told the basics of the story but there was a lot more to it than what it showed. There were also bits added into the movie that never happened..but that is why they say"Based on a true story" i guess!

He was actually very lucky to live, jumping out that window in Twinbrook.Had he not done that he would have been tortured for days, maybe weeks and dumped in a shallow grave over the border!

Good show,I wish they just would have kept it more honest!

probably the best book Ive ever read -the film got nowhere near it Bazza, not a single shred of tension , none of the planned attacks revealed , and shot in Canada? instead of newcastle lol
i think anyone who hasnt read the book might think its ok. I just think you need to have lived the war to truly understand it - prison break is next then? lol

Che: The Argentine Pt.1

I watched this the other night, and I can safely say that a Mr. Jon Snow is completely full of bollox with his statement regarding this film earlier somewhere in this thread.

It's one of those films that is so well crafted, that you simply watch it for the visual impact of it alone. It's an amazingly well directed film from Steven Soderbergh, that cuts in an out of various styles of film making. It's a documentary style shot in B&W one minute with conventional-style action directed in color the next. It all works extremely well.

As well as the film is directed and put together, the main draw of this film for me was it's lead. The man who plays Che himself. Benicio Del Toro. The remarkable thing about Del Toro in this film is that at times it's hard to believe that no actual footage of Guevara was used, but you'd be forgiven for thinking it was such is the resemblance of the two men. Del Toro just exudes Che Guevara both in visage and character. His performance is incredible. Possibly the best I've ever seen of anyone portraying any kind of historical figure on film and he is deserving of an oscar.

Second part is out soon. Looking forward to that.

Finally saw the Dark Knight... and to be honest I didn't see the massive deal. Yeah, it was class, but Aaron Eckhart outshone Ledger in my opinion. Need to watch again though as saw with my mum who asked every 10 seconds what was happening and also kep asking why Jack nicholson wasn't in it... at this point in time I actualyl favour Iron Man as a film... but another viewing may change that 8/10

also saw Herbie fully loaded over the holidays... loved it... funny film, happy feelgood xmas film 7/10

I seen Defiance last night.

Its a new film starring Daniel Craig and is about Jews during WW2 hiding out in the forest from the Nazis. Its over 2 hours long but it kepy me interested the whole way through. Craig puts in a very good  performance.

I visted Auschwitz a couple of years ago and ever since have been into WW2 films and have seen a lot of them and for me this was right up there.
