Just watched again for me one of best of recent zombies movies Dawn of the Dead with brilliant and very delectable Sarah Polley
Certainly a far better zombie for Ving Rhames to be in then that pile of horse manure Day of the Dead
Forever Red in this life and the next

Watched Valkyrie tonight and quite enjoyed it.  Tom Cruise always does his best work playing intense, uber-focused automaton types (wonder why? :D ) and the supporting cast is superb! :nod  8/10

Sorry, Baz, figured it was widely advertised. :D

It's the story of the failed July 20, 1944 assassination plot against Hitler.  Tom Cruise plays Colonel Schauffenberg, a decorated German war hero who--along with a number of high-ranking military officials--was disgusted with the way in which Hitler had besmirched Germany's international reputation during the reign of National Socialism.  The story focuses on the intricacies and dangers of the assassination plot and how to seize power in a bloodless coup following the assassination.  The outcome is, of course, entirely predictable but the movie is faithful to real events (from what I've read) and is told in a compelling way.  Cruise does good work and is ably supported by a stellar ensemble of British and German actors, including Tom Wilkinson, Bill Nighy, Terrance Stamp, Bernard Hill and a few other recognizable faces.  Well worth a look. :nod

Thats better, that was nearly as bad as judges reveiw"I stayed awake"!

Sounds good as does that on Dundalk was talking about.
Ya cant beat a good true war story, action and educational as well!
Aint been enough of them about lately IMO.Hopefully its the start of a trend and movie makers are getting back to basics and telling stories that actually should be heard rather than all the special effects cr@p that theres been way too much of in recent years! :nod

Finally saw the mist... fantastic ending, great drama but did not make 100% sense, even so was a great film.
A mist falls over a small town, a bunch of peeps are stuck in a big store inc 3 soldiers, the hero and son, a nice lass, an angry man and a preacher mad lass. Tension follows.
8/10

Heard its good to be honest s@int.

I just got on DVD, so Im looking forward to watch it

Though I heard from my mates that it would make you hate the arabs more! like in Kingdom of Heaven (it made me hate myself more)  :D

I don't think so mate , it was more showing how nasty the CIA is than how bad the Arab terrorists are.

I thought it potrayed the average Arab as quite ordinary and ok (Leo's love interest is an Arab)

It was quite good Metalhead , I just thought they tried not to offend anyone and in doing so missed the opportunity to add a lot of tension. It could and should have been much better, as the story and the actors were first rate.

I didn't think we could hate the arabs more mate   :D

S@int :D

I'll be watching that, I watched Mirrors, which I thought it was :censored: to be honest. Eagle Eye was not bad, I would give it 7/10 and watched Taken, which is very similar to any Steven Seagal movies! kin ell, Liam Neeson is the new Steven Seagal or Chuck Norris?  :D
