I'm worried about how Keane will perform, fragile as glass and the articles in the paper saying that hes being sold only after playing a couple of months (playing badly I might add) for his dream club could get in his head.

And what he actually might lose his red hot form and not score? Sarcasm alert.

Just saying, if it's any possible for him to play worse, it can happen  :D

I agree, recent events will not help his confidence one bit, and to be honest, even though things haven't worked out so far, i'm pretty sure he would feel bummed if he was sold in the january transfer period.
Still, i believe Keane has the confidence and the character to prove he is the goalscorer and partner to Torres we have been looking for, that is if Benitez gives him a chance  :buttrock

I honestly believe you'll have a better chance getting a ticket of an Arsenal supporter, i don't think they want to see there team get demolished

I dont understand the stick he gets, he's not a world class player and yes we could maybe do better but I think he offers something we lack, like the way he opened the door agaist chelsea last season plus he's a decent goal threat.

that's about the only thing he's ever done away from home. he a classic "home" player who'a at his best when we have most of the ball. away from home against another top side, we'll need our wide players to work hard defensively and benayoun won't do that in a million years.

heart wants a win. head is unsure. arsenal can outclass anyone on their day and have really nice football to watch but this season, they have demolished our title rivals, while losing or drawing to lesser clubs so its so unstable and with all their ego drama in the background which has overshadowed their season. we could nick a 2-1 or 1-0 win i hope. hopefully they dont turn up for this match. its a must win match. we wont be out if we lose, but we need to win to keep the momentum going and continue being the leaders.

Demolished?  RVP's offsides goal and than took a goal of pure class to win the match.  Sure they were unlucky to concede an OG, but Arsenal had nothing in that match but those 2 moments, which ended up being goals.

-Actually, after looking at the stats it was pretty even.  Still wouldn't stay demolished though!  :D

On our day we can beat anyone as well , its a matter of whether we turn up or not like we did in the 2nd half against manure and against chelsea . Keane must start as he's our best striker at the moment and he's still a class player . Kuyt should go back to the right where he'll stop clichy bombarding down the flank . Arsenal are weak in defense and have conceded loads of goals this season from set peices , we need to exploit that weakness . Anyone know what are the players arsenal are missing ? You stop fabregas , you stop the arsenal midfield and the strikers won't get any service what so ever . Would feel much more comfortable if skrtel was back but hypia should play as adebayor is strong physically and in the air as well . Agger at left back would be a step up from our current options

PEPE REINA believes Liverpool will end their Emirates hoodoo on Sunday.

The Reds have yet to win in their three visits to Arsenal's new stadium.

But Reina is confident the Premier League leaders will come away with three points against their title rivals.

The Spanish keeper said: "We don't have that many great memories from our other visits to the Emirates.

"They played very well and we weren't in our best moment.

"This time I think it is different because we are top of the table and I think it is easier to play when you are up there.

"We've never won there before, so maybe it's the right time to do it.

"It is possible for us to win on any ground. But we have to respect them a lot and play to win, like we always do.

"We have already won at Stamford Bridge, so we're confident we can now go to the Emirates and win there too."

The Gunners are well off the pace in the title race after a sloppy start to the season.

But Reina has warned his team-mates not to underestimate Arsene Wenger's side.

He added: "Arsenal have great players and a good squad.

"They are able to do great things. They beat Manchester United at home and also won at Stamford Bridge, so we know it will be a really tough game.

"They probably do save their best for the big teams. The way they play their football probably makes it easier for them to take on the top sides, because they allow them to play their brand of football.

"Against more physical teams they have struggled a little bit because of that."

For the love of good please play two strikers if Torres is not available. None of our strikers have the attributes or quality to play up top without a partner.

Dossena is an absolute disaster and Arsenal are full of pace and direct running, he will get murdered. Insua hasn’t set a foot wrong in the few appearances he has made and his low centre of gravity may prove to be useful against the likes of Nasri.

Gerrard has a fantastic cross and Kuyt and Riera at the back post may get some joy against an Arsenal defence who are not the best in air.

                           Reina

Arbeloa     Carragher     Agger     Insua

Gerrard    Mascherano   Alonso     Riera

                    Keane     Kuyt

Subs

Ngog
Babel
Benayoun
Lucus
Dossena
Hyypia
Cavalieri

I doubt he will play this lineup mate, I see him adopt another 4-5-1 formation again.

very good post mate, if we play to our strengths & stop them playing we can i'm confident of we can get a result on sunday, play to our strengths as we can away from home. i think that the midfield battle is where we can dominate the play,to enable decent chances to be created.

                     COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS.
