1. It will be the moment of truth whether Keane stays up in January
2. Pivotal point for our title chance? Nahh, I do not think so, it is only ONE game. Winning just sending another signal saying "DON'T F.UCK WITH US"

Great theory, why play one striker who can't score when you can play two who can't score? At the moment our best hope of goals is midfield, Gerrard and Kuyt on the right. We play two up front and we could make Gerrard less effective, one would probably have to be Kuyt for a game against a 'big four' rival and so we lose his form found playing on the right. Great tactic that, change the roles of two players who have both been effective in said roles. Make us more likely to score no goals than with a solo striker.

I seriously doubt Rafa will go to a 'big four' rival's ground and play 4-4-2. Also did you not note the comments Rafa made after being quizzed as to why Keane didn't come on against Hull? He effectively said that throwing more bodies into the box doesn't necessarily improve your chances of scoring. I sometimes see us attacking and the ABSENCE of bodies in the box means we've little hope of someone getting on the end of it. But I'm not the manager, Rafa is. If he thinks less bodies in the box means more goals then I doubt he'll readily revert to 4-4-2

You can't just dismiss his theory though... our out of form forwards would surely play better with a strike partner as this is best suited to their game and therefore it is a plausable option. Granted an option that I disagree with and one that Rafa will disagree with, but still, no need to tear the lad apart :D

We will go with a 451 I am almost certain of that, and Kuyt has to play down the right, IMO, I think Benayoun could be a liability against a passing team like Arsenal, he goes wandering.

Rafa obviously doesn't like Keane up top on his own. Keane played well in the champs league when up top with Ngog and then was dropped when our team reverted back to 451. Which in theory should mean keane is on the bench, with kuty upfront on his own... Leaving who on the right? must be Benayoun.

Having said this Rafa could play Gerrard on the right in 442 for all we know... he likes to keep up guessing :D

Come on red me 1-2

Well, our striker's can't score when they're up front on their own. The service from midfield is generally poor and you're correct, all too often there seems to be nobody in the box when Liverpool are on the attack.

I, too, cannot see Rafa go with 4-4-2 in this match. If he won't play that formation against the likes of Hull, I doubt he'd have the balls to go with it for Arsenal.

No, Rafa will play his usual folly.

1. 4-5-1 and hope for a goal from anywhere

2. Take Riera off for babel

3. Take Keane of on the hour (if he's even played)

Arsenal's form this season makes this game very difficult to call. They've fluffed matches against teams you'd bet the house on, but, like liverpool, they've beaten Man Utd and Chelsea (Arsenal's wins were far more convincing though).

Personally, I think Liverpool may get another draw here and will do well to come away with a 1-0 win.

In our favor Almunia seems to be a bit of a liability to the Gunners sometimes and we may be able to exploit that, but it's hard to imagine when Liverpool's attack is generally impotent.

How's it won, I couldn't care less. So long as it's won. I don't think we can bargain on the Chelsea repeating last week's result.

Kolo Toure has been ruled out with a calf strain, though, while striker Nicklas Bendtner is struggling with a knee problem.

Theo Walcott (shoulder) and Tomas Rosicky (hamstring tendon) are still out.

If we go for 4-5-1 with Kuyt up front then I can't see where our goals will come from but maybe we'll get some more luck or Gerrard will have another great game.

BTW Is there any news on Torres, when is he due back?

I think we'll click into gear on Sunday and we'll come away worthy winners.

I think we'll play 4-5-1 and the game will be won in the middle of the park where they are weak. Mascha for MOTM.

A bit of a long shot but does anyone have a ticket they would be prepared to let go of or no longer need?
