Great theory, why play one striker who can't score when you can play two who can't score? At the moment our best hope of goals is midfield, Gerrard and Kuyt on the right. We play two up front and we could make Gerrard less effective, one would probably have to be Kuyt for a game against a 'big four' rival and so we lose his form found playing on the right. Great tactic that, change the roles of two players who have both been effective in said roles. Make us more likely to score no goals than with a solo striker.
I seriously doubt Rafa will go to a 'big four' rival's ground and play 4-4-2. Also did you not note the comments Rafa made after being quizzed as to why Keane didn't come on against Hull? He effectively said that throwing more bodies into the box doesn't necessarily improve your chances of scoring. I sometimes see us attacking and the ABSENCE of bodies in the box means we've little hope of someone getting on the end of it. But I'm not the manager, Rafa is. If he thinks less bodies in the box means more goals then I doubt he'll readily revert to 4-4-2
