No doubt we have had lucky goals and perhaps even lucky send offs. However can you point to the game which we have not been the better team in? I'd be interested to see exactly which games were the lucky ones that we got a result in.

As far as I am concerned I can't see a "lucky" result we've gotten all year. Certainly I can spot a few unlucky ones; like Spurs and Stoke but nothing even close to that going our way.

Biggest flop of the season. All I've seen him do is get subbed, miss sitters and moan at refs. His touch has been awful, ok two goals against some small timers like Wigan, but to hack it at a top four club (most likely fourth) like yourselves, he's gotta do more. Upson and Collins will have him in their pockets tonight.

If you're talking about Robbie Keane then his brace came against West Brom and not Wigan. If you're to slag a Liverpool player off, then at least do it properly.

Wigan, Man City, Sunderland, Middlesborough, Standard Liege (both legs) and we were lucky to get a draw against Villa we were that bad.

We've had our fair share of luck, the red cards aren't luck because everyone has been the right decision, but you need luck at times. We've probably used our luck for the season and will now have to start kicking on and show our quality. We do have some high quality players and if they're on song then we have a great chance.

Like I was saying in the match thread, I think Keane will still come good, even if we bought him for 20m (Mancs bought Hargreaves for 20m FFS and he is always at the doctors). Furthermore, I said this before, anyone remember when Morientes wasn't settling well enough? What did Rafa do? He didn't sub him off during games, he kept him on the pitch to give him a chance to score and build his confidence. He also told us fans that he is doing this to build Moriente's confidence. so why did the manager change his mind about keane then? he shouldn't have subbed him off for a player who isn't even quarter of his quality! I thought he should have kept him on the pitch, even if he was poor, let him play just give him more time, maybe in the end he produces something and it will build his confidence up!

Truly felt sorry for him tonight. He was gutted when his number went up on the board and he was feeding on scraps all night. I'll tell you coming off for Ngog is not going to help the confidence nor help the team turn one point into three. A think it was a very poor substitution.

Keano while having a bad game should have been kept on, he is our main striker over the next few weeks and this move was no good for any one, especially Robbie's confidence.

If we had a capable replacement ie Crouch or even :censored:

Bellamy who could come on and make his presence felt fair enough but N'Gog has simply nopt shown enough to merit coming on in such an important game.

Rafa should realise that Rieira is out of form and Babbel was busting to get on there.

That's the most frustrating aspect for me. We rely too much on the main man but we do have players that can change and influence a tight game in our favour.

Unfortunately enough for us the Gaffer decided to keep him on the bench until it was too late.

Bottom line is we should have scored in the first half and we could have gone on from there, we didn't and it was painful to witness that second half.

The Reds are killing me at the moment, we should have a nice little cushion at the top instead we are looking to keep pace with the others who were dropping points, they won't be for much longer.

It's heartbreaking.

I think Keane is being made a scapegoat to be honest. I mean, every game he starts he must surely be counting down the clock until he's subbed with 20 mins to go....Can't help his morale....

Perhaps, he should focus on showing his intent in the first 70 minutes then.

It may be a vicious circle that he is caught up with, wrt his morale and being subbed, BUT - he really needs to start delivering early. Rafa has no choice but to make the substitution if Keane was not part of the game for 60 odd minutes.

Was surprised that it was Ngog upfront though, as that would have really :censored:

off Babel.

Keane needs to standup and become a leader in these lean times for him. He has the ability and desire to motivate himself and those around him. At this point, he's looking for hope - when in reality he needs to understand the implications of his Price Tag and step up to lead, rather than fear about the oft-mentioned "70th minute".

He has had his fair share of starts in Torres's absence, but has yet to prove that he will deliver, atleast not this year.

The entire team performed poorly today, and there really wasn't someone to single out. But Keane was brought in for goals that we were missing in the past few years, and if we have to wait till past the 70th minute every game to wish for one, then he definitely is not cutting the mustard.
